Love ya Joe, but no.
Biden is a patriot, and a decent man, but he possesses a mediocre intellect and has never shown any political imagination.
Hillary was a much more accomplished, intelligent, passionate candidate than Biden.
I love Joe Biden but the future is not in a man who will be 79 on Inauguration Day.
ferchristsake no!
As the saying goes, ‘it’s a free country, but it’s nice if you have a super pac.’ I have no problems with Biden running. Hell, Bernie and Hillary can have another go at it too, Al Gore, Michael Dukakis, sure. I doubt that I’d vote for any of them; well, maybe Al.
In addition to his being almost eighty, Dems as a party in recent history have never won with the “next in line” and “it’s my turn” candidate. See 2004, 1984, 1968, and, with an asterisk, 2000 and 2008. Another asterisk, sometimes the new face doesn’t win either; see 1988.
Joe has five years on me. We need someone at least ten years less than me.
Say it ain’t so, Joe!
No!
Just stop, Joe. You’re too old. Anyone who is older than me is entirely too old to run. Step aside and let someone younger run. Please. I love you and i don’t want to see this - go out on the high note already!
No, no, no…I want the perfect candidate. Someone from academia with full knowledge of the political system, the constitution, our laws and knows about planning and heavy workloads; a person familiar with business who knows good managerial skills and can make the trains arrive on time, but one that truly has the respect of those beneath him/her; a well-established leader and advocate for our civil rights among all of America’s people; a scientist that believes in keeping our environment clean and ‘un-raped’ and who can comprehend basic physics while we’re at it; a spiritual person, not necessarily religious, that has enough compassion and understanding in their heart to take care of the needs among those that are forced to go without, and can meditate on the bigger issues of our times; a person with a fully functioning brain including but not limited to the prefrontal cortex, no matter what age they are; I want that person.
Can someone get on that, STAT?
Anyone…even my dog and loyal companion is better than what we have now. Its gotta be all up from here, right?
Like x 5 gazillion
Please, Joe. Don’t do it. Our current president is too old as it is.
For anyone saying “Joe’s too old”… I’d like to hear names of younger people who would be more suitable.
Let’s not leap to conclusions.
The article – and he, himself – suggest he won’t be running for anything:
“The committee will allow him to raise money for candidates and maintain relationships with longtime donors…Biden has said he probably won’t run for president in 2020.”
Raising money, helping candidates, and reminding voters of the most popular POTUS in recent history?
It’s all good…
Who said President?
Obama/Biden 2020.
accomplished, maybe. intelligent, maybe. passionate? no fucking way.
Schiff.
Swalwell.
Franken.
Want me to keep going?
Kristen Gillibrand
But he’s a white guy and sad as it is to say I think it will be a while before the white wingnuts are a low enough percentage of the voting population to allow a non-white, non-male democrat (or as left or old as Bernie) to get elected president. Once that guy gets in and gets things going even better than Obama left things, or maybe just back to that level after Donald fucks us over, then maybe, just maybe, the “president needs to be a white male” mentality will be broken or at least held by a smaller portion on the population that lives in over EC represented states, and a non-white non-man can win EC vote as well as popular vote and be president.
I would rather he didn’t but…
Please Joe, give a definitive “Yes” or “No” before it becomes to late to actually be a damn candidate for the primary, and soon. Please, please! don’t do the “Maybe… Maybe not… maaaayyybeeee… on second thought… wellllll maaaayyyybbbeee… nah, I wouldn’t have my whole heart in it… but then again, maaayyyybbbbbbeeeeeee” you pulled in in 2016.
