All the GOP candidates are running for VP except for Bush and Tronald Dump. They will take the top spot if it falls into their hands but they are looking for that warm bucket of spit (VP Office) to cleanse their failed policies and emerge anointed as the new Great Conservative Hope. Bush is looking for the top spot and Tronald is looking for ratings.

Krugman has said that Newt Gingrich is a stupid person’s idea of what a smart person should be. Jindal is the opposite - he’s a smart guy’s idea of what a stupid person should be. He knows the road to riches and fame is through conning the tea party rubes, but he’s terrible at playing that game. As a result, he has become the idiot he set out to be.

I don’t know how or why Jindal went off the rails but he seems to have an inordinate need to be recognized and rewarded for being smart. Most successful people are smart. Not all smart people are successful.

Eh, I think he has a much more powerful need to be supported and loved by the ignorant, torture-loving, gay-bashing Christianist cretins that comprise the GOP base. Why else would somebody who’s ostensibly well-educated subscribe to the absurd panoply of Biblical literalist beliefs?
Jindal is like the smart but very socially awkward middle-schooler who’s so desperate to gain acceptance by the cool kids that he shamelessly apes their every action and word, regardless of how stupid or destructive. If they slash some tires, he’ll get a hammer and bash out the windows. If they egg a house, he’ll throw paint. If they make fun of Jews, he’ll dress up in a Hitler costume.
