Jim Webb was running for president?
Running for Secretary of Defense?
I honestly thought he’d be better. The debate was his campaign writ large on the public stage - a crotchety old man shouting for attention and failing.
Ah, the ultimate 3rd party…
Ordinarily this would mean he would drop off the radar screen even further than before. But the GOP-friendly media will see him as an opportunity to put him on their talk shows to bash Obama and especially Clinton. Watch to see if he gets invited on a Sunday talk show in a week or so.
Good. Adios Mother******.
Democratic presidential candidate Jim Webb will announce Tuesday he’s dropping out of the Democratic 2016 race, according to reports.
I will miss his stand-up. He had me literally in tears every time he spoke during the debate. Oh, you say he’s not a comedian? I beg to differ.
“I achieved everything I set out to do – earn a few more hits on my Wikipedia page and be ahead of Lincoln Chaffee in the polls. JWebb out!”
Webb’s strategy of waiting for Hillary to call someone a “macaca” clearly was not as successful as he had hoped.
He’s always been a surly ol’ goat, even at a younger age.
His one useful political accomplishment as as Dem was ending the Presidential aspirations of George “the next W but not as smart” Allen by winning his senate seat. Quit after one term.
Now he can go back to his old life of just waiting ten minutes for a table at a restaurant.
An unusual strategy, but given Webb’s poll numbers, dropping out might be a better path to victory.
I don’t think anyone has ever seen Webb and Steven Wright in the same room together. Just sayin’.
K bye.
And now he’ll be sure to get even less exposure than he was getting before. I mean, it’s not like there are any televised Independent debates scheduled. Actually, that’s kind of unfortunate, cuz the opinions and diatribes would be all over the fucking place.
Damn, and I just gave him another Wiki page hit … wasn’t sure of George Allen’s name (though who could forget that smug ugly face).
Good. He wasn’t much of a Democrat, anyway.
the vetting process is working in the Democratic Party…weeded out a rino, that snuck in the back door…now for the others…
