Add to the list of things that must be codified by Congress else the GOP will cross another line: After an official invitation has been sent by a Committee, only the Committee Chairperson can offer to reschedule. If a subpoena has been sent and a non-Chair member offers to reschedule that committee member will be held in Contempt of Congress.

The frightening thought is that the GOP realizes that it’s not tenable and has already made the calculation that they must jettison representative democracy and install permanent minority authoritarian rule using ruthless extralegal and illegal means, including targeted violence. Jordan is just doing this so that Fox and talk radio can have a talking point (e.g. strong, non-pedo GOP Wrastlin’ coach willing to compromise with crazy black dude Cummings).
Not to imply that Jordan is a pedo,or that he likes enabling and/or watching pedos. Even if maybe he does, just a lil bit.

This leads me to ask if, when they were prosecuting in private practice, did the prosecution allow the defense to call the shots as to how the prosecution would go on?

I’m not sure I would have a problem with a White House attorney being present. I’d have to think about why it is a problem. The optics on television would be awful if it was clear to the American people that it is the White House not letting someone speak and that unlike any previous administration, this one needs everyone lawyered up (I thought the GOP hated attorneys). Also, it would do away with this ridiculous game where the witness invokes the possibility of executive privilege. It is either asserted or it isn’t with the attorney present. If it is, then the congress will finally have the ability to challenge this charade instead of being helpless.
Gym Jordan seems to think he’s in top position, and looks like he could still go, but in reality he’s totally gassed and in the bottom position,
