Had to look it up. Great word. This was in the Russian playbook as well, if I remember…the guy lived, from five stories up. Or something.
Joseph McCarthy’s going away party was canceled when guests were informed lighting a cigarette near him might set off an explosion.
Have yourself a scary little Christmas
Don’t make the Yuletide gay
Next year all our troubles will be here to stay
Once again as in olden days
There is racial oppression galore
Glacial wives who are dear to us
Won’t be near to us any more…
I haven’t been to a horror movie in a while, but this just sounds boring and awkward rather that frightening.
Sanders kind of reminds me the daughter the 2009 horror movie “The Loved Ones”
The only horror show I’ve watched since " Dawn of the Dead" came out. Generally, I don’t like horror movies.
It wasn’t all that bad of a movie for being of the horror genre
Isn’t there something weird and troubling about reporters socializing with the people they are covering? There should be a substantial wall between those two things, I mean maybe they shouldn’t be avowed enemies, but definitely oppositional. Attending the party of the thing you’re poking makes me think you’re not poking hard enough.
You must be new around these here parts. /s (This was in response to seatownforever, not to be a general comment. I notice this function is sometimes broken.)
I wanted to ask reporter David Gregory how he feels about your post, but he was a bit busy:
Trump, the macho military booster, greatest commander-in-chief of all time, apparently barely even knows which end of a rifle the hole-making bits come out of.
See the history of the annual White House Correspondent’s Dinner.
Karl Rove dancing and cheesing it up with David Gregory and others, for a prime example.
It is however, extremely weird…Stockholm Syndrome weird…for this press corps to hold a freaking party for Sanders. She spent her entire time lying to them, belittling and insulting them, and eventually just did away with the entire daily briefing all together. And now she is gone, but they still feel the need to kiss up to her??
Access journalism has always been a horrible concept for political reporters. But somewhere in the past 3 years it took a really strange turn, to where we are now…reporters grovelling before someone they know will only lie and insult them, that can’t even provide them access anymore.
When he threw me I tried to remember when we took tumbling in Gym Class. Always lower your shoulder and use that motion to break the impact.
At least that’s how Jordan showed it to us.
Except the ones he raped, of course.
I can understand it - this is a party to say “Good Bye and Good Riddance.” They are celebrating her departure, not her personally.
I guess I feel like a journalist should be more like a research scientist. As a scientist, you generally don’t interact with the thing you’re testing, whether it’s fish or people. You observe and record, but you most definitely don’t jump into the experiment and introduce a bunch of bias (intended or not). Most people would rightfully question the results of a study where the researcher was swimming around and interacting so intimately (manipulating and being manipulated) with the thing being tested.
Since 1984’s Night of the Comet, I have watched no horror movie not starring Sigourney Weaver.
Well, then, where’s my invitation?
The second one started the Thirty Years War(s) (of Religion.)
So the “reporters” are from Fox and Breitbart?
Turdblossom.
Makes you wonder if Acosta has traumatic footage of SHS doing the Worm after too much eggnog.
