I know what would better stimulate getting “kids out of property”. How about reducing unintended and unwanted children. Realistic sex education, birth control, and inexpensive and easy access to abortion would better achieve that goal than the myth of “traditional marriage”. Coming from someone born with a silver spoon in his mouth, this is rich. Talk about pandering.

Mrs Von Holst’s family are mostly middle-class, politically conservative Roman Catholics, and I love them dearly, even if their politics is far from enlightened. But, to be honest, my impression, as an outsider, a non-believer, especially after having gone to mass with them, is that many American R.C.s are attitudinally, Protestants, up to and including prosperity theology.
They’ve more or less taken the katholikos out of Catholic.
Not just the daughter. All three of his kids have been arrested on drug or alcohol charges at one time or another.
