Why is Jeb mad? What is the complaint about? That ad is accurate and succinct? Did Jeb happen to mention what part of the ad is untrue or embellishes what really happen. His brother Administration was caught napping or worst. We were lied into a disastrous Iraq war that was somehow connected the 9/11 attack, and they still continue to LIE about the end results.
I say keep 'em coming no matter who’s releasing the truth!
Hell, even if voters gave W. a pass for 9/11 several people have called the Iraq War the biggest foreign policy mistake in US history and that doesn’t include Katrina or The Great Recession.
The Bush crime family hung out with the bin Laden gang for decades before one of the bin Laden family finished the job on the World Trade Towers as promised. Then the bin Laden relatives were flown out of the U.S. without being questioned by our intelligence officers. Possibly the worst blunder in history sent our military to destroy Iraq and create chaos in the entire Middle East. After all that w lost interest in bringing Osama to justice.
But no doubt, Benghazi was worse in the minds of the Bush crime family.
As an aside. There’s a kind of ruthlessness about an ad like this, which makes for a coldblooded, yet gut-affecting presentation of the truth of the matter. “It’s not nice; “an attack ad”; negative campaigning.” Did Hillary have any hand in this, if even indirectly? I have no idea. Would she be capable of approving a similar, hard-hitting ad by her own campaign? I’m almost certain. Would Bernie Sanders? I don’t know, but my observations of Bernie lead me to believe that he wouldn’t.
I know it sounds strange, because I like Bernie as he is; but, I do wonder if Bernie is ruthless enough to win the presidency.
Everyone does know his brother’s leadership after 9/11. He read some nice speeches he didn’t write. He started one war in Afghanistan, where he let Bin Laden slip away. Then he started the war they really wanted all along in Iraq by lying to the American people. Along the way he said he doesn’t really spend a lot of time thinking about Bin Laden. And he cleared a lot of brush.
I mean did Jeb really think he wouldnt be judged on an by the actions of his brother or family for that matter? I mean both herbert and dubyah went to war and left the economy in a shambles due to there unsustainable policies.
The only thing wrong with that ad is that it is so short. It alludes to all of his brother’s failures at keeping us safe but doesn’t have time to do any explanation, which would to say the least solidify the case. Now they should make one and two and five minute versions, and skip the spooky music.
And don’t forget that the Attack on the Cole happened less than 10 months before… Funny how that is ignored in the MSM and the Rethug circles… If that was not a warning I don’t know what was and it also clearly explains why HAIR WAS ON FIRE…Only a psychopath would ignore that AND the PDBs,
If by we, you include the MSM, yes, they are, and have been for a very long time. For example, during the W’s regime, 60 americans were killed in 13 embassy attacks around the word. Congressional hearings = 0.
not enough people know that the infamous PDB of Aug 6, 2001 (blown off by W) was merely the last-ditch attempt of the CIA to get the attention of his administration that something really bad was brewing. As it turned out, it was FAR from the only warning about 9/11. There is a NY Times article from September 2012, it is easily found with a web search, and it goes into detail about how there were MANY warnings to the administration from US intelligence that al-Qaeda was up to something big involving domestic hijackings.
The Cheney-Bush regime was utterly self-blinded to the threat of terrorism and had gotten high on its own supply of Clinton-loathing, foolishly believing that they should just do every single thing the opposite of what Bush’s predecessor had done… including abandoning Clinton’s focus on combatting Islamic terrorism.
These facts make clear why admin officials like Condi Rice went to such great lengths to shut down any questioning of whether the 9/11 attacks could have been anticipated and prevented.
That deer-in-the-headlights look on Bush’s face when Andrew Card told him of the attacks? His realization that he should have fucking listened to all those warnings from the CIA that he blew off.
