It was actually a pretty solid shot, and the audience ate it up. I think some of the people supporting Trump might be building him up in hopes of seeing an epic fail - much like Butters building Cartman up over fighting Wendy, on South Park.

Jeb had it. He had it, and then blew it during the later exchange w/Trump about 9:30 EST. When he started interrupting Trump, the Donald was visibly starting to lose his cool. He needed to hit back right then - if he’d pivoted straight to ‘Donald, the world isn’t going to respect you. Nobody up here respects you. They’ll smile to your face so you don’t say mean things about them, but they don’t respect you. You’re a clown.’
Trump would’ve had a very very visible meltdown right there. So close.
