My suspicion is that a guy as self-centered as Trump has no more regard for his wife than he does for an affectionate pet – and maybe less. It would be very surprising to hear that she has any influence over him at all.

He’s addicted to his phone. Going cold turkey would be upsetting to say the least and Melanioa does not have that sort of power anyway. Their marriage is not a partnership or something between friends 'n lovers, not, it’s a business arrangement. He gets the trophy photo op and the perceived public adulation of his manhood, she gets a ton of money. No, Melania does not advise Donnie.
