Also known as “God Bless your little heart,” when you have no meaningful words from the heart to say to someone who has just lost a loved one. It is their only their only back up when they don’t know what to say and don’t really put themselves in the shoes of the other. I’d say Jeb Bush is done for now. What do you think?
Prayer is not a plan. Prayer is completely irrelevant. If prayers worked for politics, we would have no hunger, war, poverty, crime, etc. and as a bonus we could eat candy all day and our teeth wouldn’t rot and we wouldn’t get sick. But,you go ahead and pray all you want, Jeb, if it makes you feel better. It obviously helped you in the primaries.
If political prayer worked, then it looks like the opposition obviously prayed better or prayed to a stronger god, or maybe god likes business people who are liars and frauds better than citizens who just want a decent job. It is nothing more than a psychic salve and an excuse to actually do nothing about it.
There is a saying, “Pray and move your feet.” But that okay Jeb. Just pray and keep those well-shod feet firmly planted in conservative land and do nothing. It suits you.
