A brave and honest man.
Good for him, it’s not a thing that should be neglected
Best wishes for Jason getting the treatment he needs.
Now, for all of us suffering from the other PTSD (Post-Trump Stress Disorder):
GOTV!!!
This action has taken courage, honesty and self-awareness, all traits of a leader. Jason, you will have many opportunities to demonstrate your leadership in the years to come, but none more valuable than the actions you have taken here.
I am wishing you only the best as you obtain the care and treatment you need and deserve. You are a true patriot
Hopes for a speedy and long-term recovery.
You still have many productive years ahead of you.
Always seemed like a good guy and promising political figure but you have to take care of yourself first. Hope he gets to a place where he can handle the stresses of political life in the present and war in his past and still be happy and healthy. Good luck and take care.
I’m so sad he’s going through this. Such a smart, compassionate guy. I really enjoy his Majority 54 podcast. I’m sure by being so frank about this struggle he is helping others seek help as well.
I’ve been following Jason Kander on Twitter for almost a year. His tweets are always very knowledgeable, insightful, and positive. I’ve never seen him respond to rancor with anything but kindness and understanding. I hope he heals completely and wish him well. He truly represents this country at it’s best.
Agree wholeheartedly. A tragedy for all of us but I am so glad for Jason and his family that he is taking time for self care and focus on his health. He has many decades of service ahead of him.
So, Jason has been to Iowa at least 20 times in the last year, he spoke at our state Dem convention and was so inspiring.
My sister lives in KC, and has volunteered for his mayoral campaign.
In the Midwest, this is devastating. But the overwhelming feedback I’m hearing is that the minute he feels like getting back in the game, everyone will be back on board to support him.
Lots of mixed emotions here tonight…
Sending him best, warm wishes. I’m saddened to know he’s been suffering but thankful for his voice. I hope he takes all the time he needs and look forward to seeing him again.
