Not exactly a NO.
Perhaps a better question would be, âDid your father ever touch you sexually as a child?â
Maybe a follow up could be, âare you just saying he didnât because he manipulated you into believing it was your fault that he molested you?â
I think it was inappropriate for the interviewer to refer to Trump as âher fatherâ, since she is acting as an official representative of the White House.
Of course, thatâs no excuse for her refusal to answer, but there should have been a clear line drawn so that viewers understood her role.
When I read the headline, I was ready to agree with her. It IS inappropriate to ask her that question. But then I read her full answer, which says she believes him. Isnât that the bigger story here? She believes her dad and not the multiple accusers. And sorry, but even as family, we âknowâ when thereâs a grain of truth to something that our relatives are accused of. Many of us see it a loooong time before they are officially accused of a crime.
I was actually ready to sympathize with her but I think she blew that question big time.
Ivanka wants to make her opinions known on the important issues of the day, except when she doesnât want toâŚ
Shut up and fuck you times infinity.
Right. But in addition to being his daughter she is an advisor to the president (or something. Itâs not exactly clear what she does or why she is there or what information she has access to).
Perhaps you shouldnât have taken a job in the white house if you didnât want to be asked questions about your bosses sexual misconduct.
Not only this, but sheâs made other statements like her statements against Roy Moore.
Oh, and part of her portfolio is working on womenâs issues (whatever that means)
She wants to have it both ways. When it helps to be âWhite House staffâ she takes that, and when she wants to avoid spit she is Trumpâs daughter.
Have to be both, not either - or.
âI think itâs a pretty inappropriate question to ask a daughter if she believes the accusers of her father when heâs affirmatively stated that thereâs no truth to it,â she told Alexander when he asked if she believed her fatherâs accusers.
Oh, but itâs totally cool for your father to drag his opponentâs husbandâs accusers to a debate and pretend she somehow bares some responsibility for her husbandâs behavior.
âI donât think thatâs a question that you would ask many other daughters,â she continued.
And the âpoor meâ train rolls on. Chelsea has been asked about her fatherâs past, Chelseaâs mother has been asked about her husbandâs accusers*. Youâve held yourself out there as some kind of champion of women, and yet you think you shouldnât be asked about an issue that is especially important to women? Fuck off, you silly, useless, tired, stupid, perpetual victim.
*Hell, even the damn Cosby Show TV kids were asked about the accusations made against their TV dad. But this trifling fool is supposed to be immune?
An agile followup would have been to ask if she believer her father always tells the truth. A good interviewer, by now, should have at hand many counterexamples.
Fast forward 25 years. Ivankaâs daughter Arabelle Rose is running a Trump division. A dozen different men, from different departments with various responsibilities, all subordinate to her, allege she has sexually harrassed them. Is every last man a liar? Would Ivanka believe her daughter over more than a dozen accusers, leaving her in place to continue running the business??
Assumes facts not in evidence. Iâve seen no evidence of either beauty or intelligence. Sheâs a moon-pie faced heiress who bought a face.
Iâm sorry, honey. I thought you were a senior adviser to the president. Werenât you in Korea representing the United States? Now youâre just a daughter? Iâm having problems keeping all these hats straight.
How about âwhy donât you have a security clearance and why canât your husband get one?â
Also âWhere did the bad president touch you?â might be appropriate as well.
Yes, she believes her Dad, who she knows walks into rooms filled with undressed teenage beauty contestants, must absolutely be innocent of any harassment accusations.
IOKIYAR
How do you think your âfriend,â Chelsea Clinton felt when your father paraded Bill Clintonâs accusers into the debate, you vapid, addle-brained âSenior Advisor?â
I had the same thought. However that was erased once I read her answer. She IS accusing them of lying when she unequivocally stated she believes him.
She should have just stuck to how inappropriate the question is.
And her âI donât think youâd ask that of other daughtersâ is some self martyrdom bullshit. Of course other daughters would be asked the same thing. Iâm certain if Chelsea(whom Iâm certain she is alluding to) were of age and âworkedâ in the White House and was doing interviews so she could advertise her fashion line, you can bet shed be asked that as well!
Sheâs smarter than she is beautiful:)
