Discussion: 'It's Very Toxic Here': Kudlow Implies Sexual Harassment Claims Against Cain Were Political

Join the club. I like to present things in vivid terms myself.

They don’t for a fact. Everything they do is based on the unpopularity of their positions and their efforts to stave off demographic change that favors the Democrats. Seems kind of crazy to be effectively defending sexual assault as a white male privilege but this is where we are.

They don’t frame it in terms of defending assault. That’s a loser so they frame it in the sexist terms that have always worked. The woman is making it up. Or the woman – lovely woman and a credible lovely witness! – is confused.

If the media’s main focus is on sexual assault during a debate on whether to seat a pizza salesman on the Federal Reserve Board, then we’re doomed.

Apparently it is very toxic for women.

Thought I was going to read up on how the evangelicals have finally adopted Abel’s brother as their mascot, and accuse God of using politics when punishing Cain

Another “we’re no saints” comeback? Really? Assault charges against Kudlow in 3…2…1…

Yes it is but this has been the way of things for centuries and changing it isn’t going to happen overnight. And what happens with change is that it makes people feel threatened and fearful and they become even more entrenched and rigid – and they turn to resenting the agents who are promoting change.

Resentment and hate. The tunes to which American politics dance.

And if you assault four women in Knoxville or Portland, Maine or some place and then run for president or get nominated to a national job, and the stories are in the national news now, well, it’s a “toxic” atmosphere, these jezebels will be hurling all these false charges but it doesn’t “pan out” with a withdrawal because the guy yells and cries and talks about beer so who knows let’s move on.

Herman Cain on the Board of the Federal Reserve. I had dinner last evening with an employee of the local Federal Reserve Bank. He shared all the hoops he has to go through to avoid even the appearance of impropriety. It seems the Fed is extremely concerned about its reputation for honesty and even handedness. Essentially to work for the Fed you have to be purer than the driven snow. To be on the Fed Board, apparently you can be yellow snow.

How very, very “Jerry Springerish” of Donnie!!!

I would love to have a role where I help the public understand how this stuff works. Modern propaganda isn’t loudspeakers on the street and constant indoctrination, NoKo Stalinist style. It’s more that really important stuff gets fuzzed up to where the inattentive middle gives up on trying to get it straight.

Rape happens, but I never realized that it was acceptable. These people know that this happened, their supporters know, both men and women. The act is disgusting, and so is the support for the perpetrator.

God yes. It’s how it’s done.

It’s like minimally invasive authoritarianism. Just easier, quicker, more painless for everyone except the real victims in the shadows.

I’m not sure they know. When things get tribal, whatever truths may be dangerous to the threatened tribe get twisted out of shape. Identity trumps truth and it goes out the window.

Republican gropes women, “Meh, nothing to see here, move along.”

Democrat gives a hug or touches a shoulder, “!Benghazi!”

Another Trumpian sycophant following his lead; blame the women! It’s getting to the point women are going to have to be banned from DC.
