This is a nation wide problem and a public health hazard. This will not go away until there is money for a comprehensive plan that includes prevention and treatment.

Republicans give us BCRA§ which has no plan for prevention and inadequate money for treatment.

This moment in American history will later be seen with the same disbelief and scorn as Reagan’s approach to HIV in the 80s. Namely: ignoring it.

This epidemic crosses all lines -political, income, and ethnic. They -Republican politicians- seem to acknowledge the opiod crisis but many want to look the other way. Big Pharma has a big hold on many office holders.
