Actually, Huck is doubling down and saying he has loads of support from Holocaust victims and the Israeli community. That was the quote this morning. In other words, “I cannot be squelched .”
That’s good, Don. And they all suspend their knowledge of Israel’s own substantial nuclear deterrent to maintain this sense of urgency?

That’s what’s so ridiculous about all the hysteria over Iran’s alleged intent to nuke Tel Aviv. The Iranians know damn well that if they were crazy enough to attack Israel with nuclear weapons, they could kiss Teheran goodbye along with most of the other Iranian cities—and that’s just from the certain Israeli counterattack. Regardless of the current tensions between the US and Israel, if Iran was the first to use nuclear weapons of any sort against Israel—even if through third-party proxies—the country of Iran as we know it would cease to exist courtesy of the American response, even if the US counterattack was non-nuclear.
The other thing that the Israelis conveniently fail to ever discuss is that an Iranian nuclear attack on Israel would result in casualties to many thousands of Arabs and Muslims, both through the immediate blast effects and subsequent radiation. Are the mullahs in Teheran really that contemptuous of the public relations blowback within the Arab world?
It is not a major diplomatic accomplishment in recognizing the foolishness of one low level partisan political player.
Huckabee isn’t important at all and that fact gives him a cushion to be ridiculous and outrageous. Now, if the most popular Republican walking, Trump, said that, then there would be reason for some real analysis. Like, WTF is wrong with the GOP that allows a moron like Trump to be in the position of embarrassing them so badly?
Huckabee is bottom rung, not even debate worthy, clown without make-up, shyster at best material. He can flap all he wants because it’s meaningless.
Stepping in it is one thing. Getting down and rolling around in it and then being happy about it is something else again.
"I think it's important to conduct this debate in a way that's befitting of the alliance between our two countries."
And this unambiguously inflammatory rhetoric makes it difficult for our unwavering alliance with the American politicians and radicalized Christians who’ll be quick on the trigger with Iran.
When they look ignorant, the Likud looks ignorant. Can’t have that. We like the mirthful tone of McCain’s lilting rendition of “bomb bomb Iran” much better.
