Oh, no, I beg to differ. I think we are already on a deep dive to the bottom of the sea. And 2018 is not going to be enough to resuscitate us, if it is even able to drag us back to the surface.
I read (sorry, no link at my fingertips, but just this a.m.) that legal experts say Trump will NOT be able to require people to sign NDAs, at least without a change in the law, which may or may not be easy for him to get.

He canât require government appointees, officials, and employees to do so. But people under his employment prior to taking office, or those hired into his own companies, he will continue to control.
Yes, of course: I wasnât precise with my formulationâŚsorry.
Wow. This time he lunatics have literally taken over the asylum.
I am going to re-post something I posted in a different thread last night because my mind has been churning ever since I had this revelation. Looking at all of the continuing shit show appointments with Gaffney, etc., this morning, I am even more convinced that this is correct.
As I read about Graham and Rand Paul standing up on their hind legs, it occurred to me that Trump himself is the shiny object, the squirrel that is distracting us all from the real problem which is the Republican hegemony that is going to wreak havoc on us all now.
Now that Trump is elected and every prediction about him bringing down other Republicans up for election didnât happen - (even the ultimate crook in CA, the bluest of states, was re-elected - Darrel Issa), the smart Repubs like Ryan and Cruz are quickly realizing that they have nothing to lose. They now have a blank check, and they donât really have to say anything actually supportive of Trump himself. Trump resigns or is impeached? They got Pence. All they want is total domination and when they pick the SCOTUS, the coup is officially a fait accompli. Meanwhile, if Trump does go down many on the left will feel like they have effected real change and saved the world from disaster â and they might be right. But the slow rolling disaster that is Republican hegemony wonât be slowed any more than a tank rolling over a corpse. And if Trump does get forced out, many on the far right will be even more energized to commit hate crimes and work to undermine the moral foundations of our society. The very fragile agreements of civility that any society requires and that cannot be determined or coerced by laws will become ever more fragile and tenuous.
With or without Trump, Bannon, Guiliani, Bolton- letâs just say the top 50 of the guys and gals that have given us nightmares for years - if every one of them was gone tomorrow, the Republicans are still poised to do every single horrible thing they have been trying to do for years. Entitlements - done deal. Continuing voter suppression - done. Ruining the SCOTUS for DECADES - done. Emasculating the media - done. Reversing all efforts at green technology - done. Handing the keys to the corporate masters - done. Permanent Patriot act, permanent war on terror, repeal of everything done by Obama, LBJ, even FDR - done. Rollback or reversal of every progressive change I have seen in my lifetime including Medicare and the Civil Rights Act â done and done.
I had this terrible epiphany late last night when I saw that a lot of the people I have fought against for years were now starting to say that they would stop Trump from doing this or protect us from Trump doing that and I realized the game was over. If we all worked tirelessly to get Trump out of office and succeeded, the next one up is Mike Pence, a man who is almost as unfit as Trump in his own way. An anti-science, religious whacko who thinks the world started 6000 years ago, that abortion should be outlawed in 100% of cases and tax dollars should be spent on homosexual conversion therapy.
I have been worrying so much about the media normalizing the orange monster that it almost escaped me that Trump has normalized every other Republican in power to the point where we are actually fighting for a world in which Mike Pence will be the president. Now that the elections are over, Trump is simply a distraction to us while the Mercers and Kochs warm their hands over the fire created by burning up every every safety net, civil protection and environmental safeguard created in the last century. In fact, if he proves to be too much of an impediment or an embarrassment, he will be gone and IT WONâT MATTER AT ALL.
Get ready, Grover Norquist.

Dude, I was only joking about Gaffney yesterday.
Oh, so itâs your fault!
Please STOP giving him ideas !!!
Oh goodieâŚa TRUE pants on fire, sky is falling nutjob on the team!!
OTOH, the Gaffney types tend to dry out and wither, when exposed to the limelightâŚ
There is about to be a full on assault on Muslims in this country. Internment camps are soon to follow. Iâm telling you, I feel it in my bones.
Can we just stop fooling here. Obama and market forecasters have been out trying to calm the waters. BUT I continue to state âWe are all going to die under a Trump Presidency.â So go on with your daily lives. Nothing we can do except maybe build a bomb shelter in your back yard. We are going to all die and I put my money where my mouth is as I sold out of most of my investments in my 401K during the market rally last week.
Trumps infrastructure investment/jobs plan is a good idea. But have you seen the details on how it will be paid for? Their is no detail. He thinks he is going to raise 20% of pvt investment and let corporations bring that $2 Bil from overseas under a special tax rate and use that money and blah blah. Point being he will not have to raise any taxes to pay for the infrastructure plan and Oh shit itâs all Bullchit. Just Trust Trump. He is GENIUS⌠We are all gonna freaking die and Obama is just embarrassing himself at some point hereâŚ
I think I will just get started on building that shelter, hording food, buying gold for the coming Trump apocalypse. I am NOT buying any Christmas Presents this year nor do I want anything. BTW did you see merchants are worried Holiday shopping will be disappointing this year over peopleâs fears about a Trump Presidency. Itâs All good though. Have a good Thanksgiving, Christamas and New Years. 2017 is looking GRAND.
BTW IF TRUE FU Hillary for not taking Billâs advice. Go read how Bill pushed Hillary to lay out an economic plan to attract those non college educated blue collar voters. Hillaryâs team of 36 year old Robby Mook, Podesta and other advisors along with Hillary told Bill he was out of touch. Way to go Hillary ignoring your twice elected ex President husbandâs advice. If as I said this leaked story is true: If Hillary had listened to âI feel your pain Billâ she might have won this election. It also points out the truth Hillary was tone deaf and had poor politico instincts. She would have been a competent President but as we all know Hillary had no charisma and was not a good stump politician.

Dude, I was only joking about Gaffney yesterday.
So today you joke about Trump sending Gaffney to Benghazi to investigate connections between Clinton and the terrorists who burned down the compound.
Good lordâŚstop reading FB âfake newsâ. You are as bad as âthemâ.
Rather send him to Afghanistan to investigate why Kerry and Huma Muslim brotherhood let islamofascists infiltrate Baghram.
You shouldâve rolled over your 401K

My Dad was a scientist and we had a big debate during the Cuban Missile Crisis on the wisdom of building a bomb shelter. After getting beyond the solipsitic fantasies, we agreed that the survivors would likely envy the dead, so no shelter. The best thing, therefore, was to de-escalate the crisis, which, thank God, Kennedy did.
Has made a fortune in the hate market. Like getting paid for eating ice cream.
Ok, Sessions, Carson, Bannon, Giuliani, Gaffney⌠Wow, slim pickings, huh? âŚ
âMake America Grate Againâ!
