My wife normally takes our daughter with her when she votes. Last night she said she wants to make arrangements for a sitter while she votes because she fears for her safety. At first I thought that was a lttle paranoid, but when I went to speak no words came out. She had a point after all.

I voted early here in Maine for one reason: our town has a ton of NRA and Trump supporters and I wanted to avoid our ONE polling station. We are a small town with a small police force - totally outnumbered and out gunned by the Trump crazies.

I think the polling locations should look like they do every election. There is no need to overreact to the flailings of an orange colored loser. We can get this information out there to the people that need/want it without showing fear.

I hear you, and in principle agree with you. However, I donât think we have had, in recent history, such a threat of lock-and-load self-styled âmonitorsâ in such numbers. Unless we put these in everyoneâs mailbox, I am not sure how we will get it out to those who need to feel that they have a way to react to a (however, impliciet) show of force.
