IS THERE NO END TO THE EVIL OF THE GAY MAFIA?
[Jesus] said there would be deceivers. He said those deceivers would cause Christians who remain true to His teachings to become reviled.
Iâm fairly certain that Jesus didnât call his followers Christians.
âŚand if your founder predicts that his cult will be come âreviledâ wellâŚmight want to think on that a bit. Do some soul searching. Check your religious primer for things that might cause one to be âreviledâ.
If your religion believed that people with red hair were witches and should not be allowed to live, and you published that in your blog, youâd lose your gig.
Itâs not that you are a person of faith, but that you are an idiot.
Until the âteachingsâ he refers to can be examined, what has to be Eschlimanâs hatred of Jesusâ special love for the beautiful apostle John throws a little holy water on the idea that his âsincerely heldâŚbeliefâ is a religious one.
Eschliman said that he was fired by the Newton Daily News for âholding and talking about my sincerely held religious beliefs on my personal blog during my off-duty time from the comfort of my own home.â
Freedom of speech ainât free.
F&ck you, you whining closet case.
how come the Party of Personal Responsibility never wants to believe that their actions have consequences? youâre free to say whatever you want but if it get you a punch in the mouth, or fired, its the consequence of your actionâŚ
there used to be a judicial rule called âfighting wordsâ that could get you off the hook if you hit someone because they called you a bad name due to your birthâŚ
The irony is so thick, youâd need a laser to cut it.
Oh, hereâs some cheese for your whineâŚDoes someone have a tissue for this haterâs issue?
Iâm sure there might be a guy whoâs into bears whoâd be willing to help him resolve his inner turmoil.
It must really suck to be discriminated against after so much discrimination. I wonder if he cried himself to sleep after people said all those things to him. I wonder if he feared for his life, that someone might take matters in their own hands. I wonder.
The poor bigots. Always the victims. Always.
I think he could have expressed his opinion without using the term âgaystapoâ. There really is no excuse for that kind of stupidity.
For a guy who claims to not be into assholes, he sure is one.
âIf I canât discriminate, then you are discriminating against me!â
Iowa is a right to work state. I bet he was all in favor of that until nowâŚ
Iâm getting so sick of the phrase âsincerely held religious beliefs.â Iâm not sure what opinion first hammered that phrase together, but it seems to have been popping up quite a bit in the past few years. Sincerity isnât a litmus test prescribed by the Constitution, so touting yourself for saying âI believe it, and I really mean itâ is a claim for additional legitimacy, what, in case the First Amendmentâs Free Exercise clause doesnât apply to situations that arenât acts of Congress?
I wonder if the lawsuit will go anywhere? I agree the guy is a jackass who more than likely is a terrible journalist and newspaper editor for a variety of reasons. Firing him with the reason of disliking him or disagreeing with his personal blog may not hold up.
âFreedom of Speechâ does not convey âFreedom from the Consequences of Speech.â
You have every right to say whatever random brain-farts appear in your head. BUT, you must also endure the consequences of said PUBLIC SPEECH.
No GOVERNMENT can stop you from SAYING IT. But you have to take responsibility for, and face the ramifications of, said speech in the Private Business Community.
Iâm SURE you support the Hobby Lobby decision, which allows CORPORATIONS to impose their OPINIONS upon you, their âemployeeâ. Your CORPORATION just did that, to YOU.
Welcome to the World of Unintended Consequences asshole.
