As a semi-pro in IT for a County Library… I promise you was more than likely malware warnings that blocked drudge, not the hinky content.
Conservatives usually think that private corporations should be able to do whatever they want within the law.
Unless a corporation does something that conservatives don’t like.
I came across this the other day, sort of rebuttal to conservapedia.
It’s a brand new day for me!
Kick. ass. post. It must have been a candid shot…at the Naval Observatory…at X-Mas…
I had to tap a "re-load’ button here at TPM. Alert Alert Alert! well, OK, maybe not…
He should’ve gone to a pharmacy, bought a thermometer, and taken his temperature. I bet he was running a high fever.
Columnist Cries Left-Wing Conspiracy After He’s Unable To Visit Drudge At Hotel
Maybe Drudge was busy with one of his rent boys?
So does this mean that these people support Net Neutrality?
I didn’t think so…
Varney reported the issue to a hotel desk clerk, who was “puzzled” and “recognized [Drudge] was not some place the lunatic, dangerous fringe lurks.”
The only inaccurate part of this statement would be describing them as the fringe.
Yeah, the real question is what does Drudge do to your computer when you’re not protected by a malware filter?
Paranoia strikes deep. Into your heart it will creep. It starts when you’re always afraid. Step out of line, man come to take you away.
These Bagpeople are insane!
I wonder if those filters look at the comments posted on such sites? And/or volume/number os such comments.
I’ve seen plenty of offensive comments on “liberal” sites but nowhere near the volume on the ‘conservative’* sites I visit.
I wonder if the differences between liberals and conservatives is related to biological levels of bile production in people’s livers? <Joke, folks>

- As a liberal Democrat, I’m amused at how the news media has bought the idea that Tea Partiers are “conservatives.”
Congratulations. You now are a vast, leftwing conspiracy.
That same reader from Kentucky also recalls that the financial crisis started under Obama (because of excessive regulation).
Perhaps in Varney’s world “Hateful Content” is always auto-corrected to ‘Freedom America’ and that’s why he’s never seen this issue before.
Well, from what I have heard of the nature of the comments at some of those sites, I can readily see how they might trigger a “hateful content” filter.
Aha! So there is a conspiracy, albeit a conspiracy of one.

Paranoia strikes deep. Into your heart it will creep. It starts when you’re always afraid. Step out of line, Tea Party primary you away.
If I’m not mistaken, one of the movers and shakers behind it is the son of Phyllis Schlafly.
