The U.S. has meddled in foreign elections and foreign domestic politics forever, but what I am curious about is our meddling in the politics and economies of the former Socialist Republics, like Ukraine, Uzbekistan and the other “Stans.” I remember reading an article in Atlantic around the time of the dismantling of the Soviet Union, an article that described how active and interested American capitalists were In “helping” these emerging countries. What Giuliani is digging for is probably the attempts on the part of American Democrats, Republicans, Plutocrats, Autocrats, and crackpots to take wealth out of these countries for the last 30 years. I have read Bill Broward on the subject. Does anyone have any suggestions for further reading?
Hey, you gotta give the guy credit for understanding that just dangling vague anti-Dem tidbits to be eaten whole by the RWNJ is where the money’s at!
I am betting that the Jerry Falwell and the pool boy story will likely lead back to Preshitident Skanky-Manslut and to his beloved silicone stuffed vinyl doll lust object Iwanka Baby. I think it the pool boy was a honey pot set up by sleazy Iwanka to entrap the holier-than-thou, jesus-loving, bible-thumping and very christian conservative but skanky Falwell. Horny Jerry fell right into Iwanka’s well-laid trap and endorsed Skanky-Manslut and his horde of Russian whores.
Just another fucking criminal nutbag.
To all of the two dozen comments above: Yes!
And Giuliani believed every word of it.

It’s pronounced “manafort”.
Start the ball rolling.
Crime is easy these days. Notice all the dead people?
So, legalize bribery (but take a cut), and make sure the US understands how useful that would be to Trump. Gotcha.
The main narrative involves the former Vice President’s son, Hunter Biden, taking a position on the board of a Ukrainian gas company while Biden was still in office. Republicans have argued that this was some sort of quid-pro-quo involving Biden, and suggested that Biden used his influence to protect his son from Ukrainian criminal investigations into the gas firm.
Huh. Reminds me of a certain Supreme Court justice whose son gave a billion dollars to the guy who was in a position to put his own guy on the Court. Looks like he stopped it justin time.
The Ukraine is weak!
I don’t think more butter is going to be a good idea for this guy.
I was wondering about the criteria for ‘oligarch’ if Pavel Fuks actually qualifies…
Seems to me this approach works just beautifully in DC.
k, but I don’t know if it’s a good idea to export that.
Isn’t Giuliani doing the same sort of BS that Trump and the Repugs have constantly accused the Dems, Hillary, and Obama of doing? No doubt all of this is at Herr Trump’s bidding.
Rudy is really proving himself to be an absolute bottom feeder.
"The State Department official in charge of U.S. arms control negotiations with Moscow and her husband had a years-long friendship with GOP operative Paul Erickson, the former boyfriend of convicted unregistered Russian agent Maria Butina — ties this official did not disclose to her superiors or to Congress during her confirmation process in the spring of 2018.
Erickson officiated the June 2017 wedding of Andrea Thompson, the undersecretary of state for arms control and international security affairs, and David Gillian, a former senior Australian army officer, three administration officials and Erickson’s lawyer have confirmed. At the time, Thompson was serving as national security adviser to Vice President Pence. Four months before the wedding, Gillian had transferred Erickson $100,000, which federal officials allege Erickson stole from Gillian, FBI and court documents show. Thompson never disclosed these ties to her superiors until approached this week by this columnist, the three administration officials said."
The world is chock full of assholes, isn’t it?
Oh yeah, this dude seems like a reliable source…
