Discussion: Indictment: Russia Hack Targeted Clinton Emails After Trump Speech

No “if” about it. They were, and Donald knew it.

Count Republicans now among Russia’s wonderful prostitutes, complete with Mitch pissing on the Constitution.

“It’s not my fault that they didn’t stop me or my campaign from colluding with a hostile foreign government and that dreamy Vlad Putin.”

Richard Milhouse Nixon is smiling from his grave.

Not only at the breadth and scope of the attack on the Dems, but that Trump is getting away with it.

And then we all lived happily ever after — after we repair all the damage this asshole and his cronies have done to the country and people they targeted.

It is already late into the day of July 14 in France, so…

In a spirit of fraternité, not to mention liberté and égalité, I should like to salute the oldest and noblest ally of the United States (even before there was a United States.)

Mireille Mathieu’s version is inspiring, but in view of the current distress, I offer this version. (Besides, Madelaine LeBeau --Yvonne – was the last surviving member of the cast and she died in May 2016. As noted, she became “The face of the Resistance”.)

Please rise.

Brilliant. I love it!

He tweeted that if they found the emails the Russians should hand them over to the FBI. Which, I’m sure, was his way of making it “ok”

Well, the polls suggest that North Korea got a HUGE benefit from Trump’s visit. They’ve been normalized in the world’s eyes. And that’s all Kim did it for.

And Trump STILL doesn’t realize he’d been had.

You can’t even eat sauerkraut in a public restaurant without those agitators following you around and acting all rude ; - )

Excellent analysis, as always @khyber900

I would recommend PBS’ Frontline “Putin’s Russia” for an in-depth look at his rise to power — and why Putin may not last long. The World Cup is an opulent Potemkin Village. Economically, Russia is a basket case. Increasingly, the rest of Russia (led by it’s youth — sound familiar?) is waking up — and is NOT happy.

Trump/Putin has also unleashed an epic wave of activism and civic engagement not seen since the Civil Rights era. We took Putin’s body blows— now we’re punching back. Come Nov.8, Putin will realize he toyed with the wrong people.

Well said. A lot of folks seem to think the book is finished, folks it was just one chapter and now we’re onto the next one…

Are you suggesting that Putin is going to give T rumpp a spanking?

I think Putin will do a victory lap to boast about Russia’s intel coup. But I do think he will be dismissive of Trump for his weakness, because his last month has been disastrously bad. In a way, now is a pretty decent time for Putin to sell Trump as a stock. He has an enhanced rep as a bad ass, and can cash that in to be a real player on the world stage. But my expectation is a double down from both Putin and Trump, though what I think has changed is that Trump is a lot weaker than he was when he first entered office.

Agree with a lot of this—certainly that many higher-up Ruskies felt Vlad was getting too far out over his skies, in so brazenly attacking a sleeping giant, but also their most dangerous and implacable foe (which is partly why Steele was able to get so much cooperation from insiders, in addition to being a highly-skilled counter intelligence officer). That said, Putin abhors even the slightest criticism, and he’s not exactly a long-term strategist (Albeit a well-trained tactician), so you could see how his thing spiraled out of control. But I don’t see Vlad cutting Fatso loose unless it’s to save his own skin, and that seems a ways off—from a distance, at least.

Vlad has bragged about how pretty his “girls” are.

I think Vlad benefits from a dysfunctional NATO, and dysfunctional trade relationships with Trump as POTUS. I think he’d actually find Pence easier to manipulate, but the conventional wisdom is that Pence would pretty much align with the center right on NATO and on trade relations. I’m not so sure of that though. Pence’s political career was done before Manafort pushed him as VP. He basically has no political career without the Russians. I think Pence has more potential as a Russian agent.

Maybe, but at this point the cat’s out of the bag and every IC agent in the country (and many more around the world) are watch this gang of idjits very, very closely. If Pence tried to carry on in the Donnie tradition (after having replaced Donnie because he was caught at it), then Pence would have proven himself to be as dumb as Donnie.

Oh, wait…
