NCGOP started by removing our Public Funding for Elections.
They are still trying to find more ways to hide monies and it’s movements, how to coordinate their campaigns with PACs with recently introduced legislation.
Then they passed, during the NC9 Election fiasco, a law not allowing election commission to report on Campaign Finance irregularities.
Their actions speak volumes, they are corrupted by Averice, Glutony, Coveting what other people have. And they like to wrap themselves in the flag and clutch the bible while doing it. With our Gerrymandering problem, I do hope enough of the tried and true (Rs) decide they do not want to be fouled by this group any longer (either that or SCOTUS finally fixes it.)
Now, NCDOI did start a process of closing the loophole that allowed Lindburg to reroute $2B from his insurers to his private companies. And that investigation and actions, did interfere with OH and Nebraska Insurance Regulators. So I am wondering if this is related, as they wanted “their financial analyst” installed.
Lindberg made a $1 million donation in December 2017 to Truth & Prosperity, a super-PAC
Methinks these super-PAC mean the opposite of what they are named. Next, we’ll hear that Trump started a super-PAC called Faithfulness & Good Business Sense.
“$1.5 million more given to or meant for North Carolina Insurance Commissioner Mike Causey ®, who Lindberg pushed to fire a deputy who oversaw Lindberg’s business interests in exchange for huge donations”
good thing citizens united would lead to bribery or work against the public good
Hats off to NC DOI Commissioner Mike Causey for being decent, refusing to be bribed, and turning this over to the FBI. I’m just so fed up with the corruption.
