I know this goes against standing up for what one believes in, but I just wonder if instead of having protests inside and outside of Trump’s events people who disagree meet across town and hold a counter message rally? I mean this keeps escalating up and why not try something different? If they become boring as sh!t then it some people may just lose interest. Those looking for a fight will have to settle for infighting.
You are being rational and unemotional.
Such protests are all about emotion and self-congratulatory endorphin rushes.
I know but I keep thinking how powerful a symbol that one woman reading her book at Trump’s Springfield rally in 11/15 become.
Nixon was a geopolitical genius next to Donald Drumpf.
Drumpf for me is the 2d Coming of W, on steroids and meth.
Looked like 500 cops in riot gear to arrest 35 people?
Cost analysis says this expenditure far outweighs the returns. Wonder why Trump loses money running a casino.
Sadly thinking that scene will be replaying itself over and over as the convention then election approach. God forbid Father Orange wins we will be seeing the people militarized beyond belief and patrolling the streets.
Man in the high tower seems prescient right about now.
But Nixon had scumbags like Roger Stone working for him. Trump would never be caught dead with the likes of Roger Stone…
Stone is working hand in glove with Trump—and has been for the last year.
That would be awesome. Audience members sitting there reading books.
Fahrenheit 451 ensues. Trump supporters join fire brigades and break in to liberal homes and burn ‘libtard’ propaganda books! FNC proclaims them patriots.
What will Donny’s Brownshirts do when he loses in November? The mind boggles…
Yup. Drumpf sows the seeds of violence then blames the Sun when they sprout.
Probably exploded like a ventless outhouse due to a build-up of cheap hair spray.
I can’t imagine what that must have been like for Patty Hearst…
Being kept in a closet, raped, forced to participate in their crime spree.
And it had daily coverage on the news.
Thankfully, her ordeal finally ended, in a shootout, if I remember correctly, and she went on to lead a reasonably normal life.
Unless they set fire to their venue, the media would give little coverage to their meeting…
Bud, I’m a little long in the tooth to be called a child.
To whomever made him go away again, thank you.
Burn shit and beat people least likely to be able to fight back, like homeless and individual “immigranty-looking” folks.
Plus you just know that the people around her went home remembering nothing of their near-great moment (or moment near near-greatness or whatever), but everything about the woman who just…ticked…them…off.
Nixon was a complicated figure, and his Presidency reflected that.
Make no mistake, when he resigned on live television we staged a huge party in celebration.
He would have been impeached and removed from office had he not resigned. His crimes were real and provable.
But, had he not been the paranoid he was, history would have treated him far differently.
