This is going to cost Texas a fortune to clean up. I’m just glad I haven’t read anything about deaths or injuries.
C’mon God, didn’t you see Trump issued a transgender ban last night to mollify your wrath? What’s up with the devastation? Huckster, Graham, Falwell, please explain.
God’s a fickle master!
And there’s the problem.
The Republican Party and the conservative movement have decided there’s no global warming, therefore they don’t have to do anything. Fine. Accept global warming. Deny global warming.
What are we going to do about a “flood prone” fourth largest city, or the New York subway system shutting down in a storm, or the Atlantic coast naval bases and shipping facilities? Just how is this country supposed to grow?
Know-nothing, do-nothing Republicans are to blame for this mess more than anyone, and they clearly have no interest even in faking solutions to real problems. Just keep the war machine working and don’t talk about Russia.
This bode badly for the Texas Republican party because Mother Nature always wins.
Just a few hours ago, the mayor of one of the smaller towns said that there were definitely people in apartment buildings that had collapsed. They may or may not be okay, but officials can’t yet attempt a rescue. I’ll be hoping for the best outcome . . .
O god me too. I’m not keeping up with the news but I thought it was miraculous that I hadn’t heard anything like this given the pictures I’ve seen.
Well thanks for the update, really.
"Another Rockport resident, Pamela Montes, said she knew many people who stayed behind because “no one felt like it was going to hit.”
Dumber than sticks.
And if they survive, they will still call it Fake News. smh.
One death already confirmed, more likely to come. Rockport was and continues to be hammered.
Officials confirmed one fatality near the small coastal town of Rockport, which took a direct hit from the eye of the storm, as search and rescue operations continued in ravaged areas that have become largely inaccessible. Officials said Rockport could receive up to 60 inches of rain through midweek.
5 feet of rain. Jesus.
