God is displeased with you, Texas…

First Cruz,
Then Abbott,
Now Harvey.

Turn your TV’s off, Trump Voters. Jesus will take care of you. Don’t listen to the Fake News or the Fake Weather, it’s all a left wing plot. Look outside at the big beautiful blue sky. Everything’s going to be just fine. You don’t need science to warn you of danger. You have your bible. Now go have a big plate of BBQ and beans and leave it all to Jesus.

As long as tRump and these climate denying assholes are in charge, this is gonna continue to be harder on those states vulnerable to hurricanes than they already are…But that’s not the only natural disaster we’re facing.

Stay safe Texas.

We will now see how prepared this administration is to handle its first natural disaster. My prediction is not so well, they (Russ-thugs) hate the Federal government and since they are in charge, they should leave the response in the hands of the states and local governments. Practice what they preach.

Perfectly said.

Emergency preparedness has been impacted because somehow 70% of Texas Republicans believe Harvey is an imaginary hurricane.
Whether it started on Fox and Friends or Pat Robertson I don’t know.

Texans, no doubt, will set an example of pulling themselves up by their own bootstraps.

No government handouts for these fiercely-independent Red Staters!

Obviously, Cruz and Cornyn, with Abbott and Patrick, will choose self-reliance over enslavement.

These Sovereign Citizens understand that big government and federal programs are destroying America.

Washington and its Culture of Dependency should just get out of the way.

And allow the unregulated and invisible hand of the Free Market to save Texas from this disaster.

Texans will not be takers!

Gov. Greg Abbott and Lt. Governor Dan Patrick will be sending patrols to the public restrooms so Harvey does not intrude on anyone’s privacy.

Alex Jones is in his studio in Austin ranting about the deep State controlling the weather in order to undermine the Trump presidency.

Be nice, people. There are a lot of liberals in Texas.

"In his budget blueprint for 2018, Mr. Trump wants to reduce FEMA’s state and local program grants by $600 million. The administration says many of the grants were not authorized by Congress.

Officials at the Department of Homeland Security said the administration wanted to encourage states and cities to budget for their own preparedness and shift the cost of paying for disaster preparation and response away from the federal government."

Good luck. The States are gonna need it. This will be the first test of what it’s like to dismantle the “administrative state.”

Trump: Mexico will pay for the damage. Besides, this major hurricane is Obama’s fault.

I’m about 45 minutes inland from Galveston. Bought hurricane supplies at the beginning of the season and cranked up my generator and checked it out. I’m ready. We’re gonna get a lotta rain and brief periods of wind in the 20’s mph. Further down the coast is gonna get the worst of it.

Its a red state and they need to keep them happy. I expect Fed will step in with $$$$ to ensure gerrymandering continues.

I think I need to fax my Rep. He sent me an email about canceling the Emergency Flood Insurance program.

Let’s see how he feels about it once Padre Island and Corpus and Galveston are under water.

I think it’s clear God is punishing Texas for its godless ways and liberal social agenda.

Regardless of it being a Red State, - this regime has no sense of loyalty. And even if they did have that, they also have no sense of competence.

EDIT TO ADD: See N.C., (Eastern), Hurricane Matthew.

Alex Garcia, of Corpus Christi, was buying bottled water, bread and other basics in Sugar Land, a Houston suburb, after dropping his daughter off at college in Houston.

Umm yeah, doesn’t sound smart. Houston floods.

I was nearly 3 yo when Celia came to Corpus. Evaced to San Antonio for Allen. I’d be heading inland if I still lived on the coast.

Yes. I would too. They were talking last night about amounts of rain in feet, not inches, so floods are likely you’re right.

Who could have known that a hurricane hitting texas would drop enormous amounts of water on the coast?
