Man, southern rednecks sure are victimized.
Poor Christians. Can’t get a break in the old USA.
Hmm…funny for a guy that blames “culture” in the black community, in the cities or where ever for all manner of social ills. I guess the South is too sacred to criticize.
Huck and Cowherd are tradin’ paint.
I’m surprised the NASCAR cars still only make left turns. You’d think Huck would have had that changed by now.
Culture is a bit too high minded to describe this. This is just learned (bad) behavior, just like the ruts they were driving in.
I grew up in the midwest and in Arizona. Lived in the south for about a year as an adult. I found it to be more much more hostile than the midwest but friendlier than Arizona. Ironically, Arizona is kind of a cold place… talk to a stranger and they look at you weird, and nobody is really from here. But the whole ‘southern hospitality’ thing is BS … it’s just fake politeness. Overall, I found it to be a very closed-off place, the ‘us vs. them’ mentality pervades.
Oh, bless your heart!
People in Dixie are always sincere–whether they mean it or not.
Doesn’t he have a squirrel to fry in a popcorn popper?

Another of those cultural memes. I was quite surprised to find out what that phrase actually means, at least when addressed to ‘outsiders.’
Yes, it’s right up there next to “proud ignorance” as a point of Southern Pride.
What is “learned behavior” anyway?
.
Huckabee needs to lay off the Southern Comfort. A so called southern baptist pastor at that.
He’s a Shiite Baptist
Southern Baptists don’t drink. You can tell by the way they hide their beers behind their back when their shaman shows up.
You’re having way too much fun in this thread.
Do you know the difference between a Baptist and a Methodist?
Methodists say hello to each other in the liquor store.
Behavior that is learned. Is this hard to understand?
