The fact that the child molester has gone forward with no consequences for his actions other than mumbling some mumbo-jumbo to some imaginary spirit in the sky, and that no one involved in this sordid affair has ever received counseling or therapy to this very day, is a stunning testament to his family’s authenticity and humility. It proves they have neither.

Yeah, HUCK SINN! Just like the media exploited the families of killed police officers Mark Renninger, Ronald Owens, Tina Griswold, and Greg Richards after they were slaughtered by the killer you let out of prison, Maurice Clemmons.
The same Maurice Clemmons who got down on his knees in front of you and said he was “born again”. The same Maurice Clemmons those who prosecuted his case and his prior victim’s families didn’t want to pardon…

Huckabee’s repeated defense of the indefensible suggests that that he may be hiding something similar about himself.

I pretty much agree. I’ve never watched their show. I always thought it exploitive of my time and of their kids so there was no point. And now they’re whining cuz issues.
And Huck sticks his pecker into the mess and gets it bit.

This is a great point. When you move your family into a fish bowl, how can you be stunned when something like this happens? It’s not as though they didn’t know they had this secret that could be exposed, with relative ease, when they made this decision. Didn’t they move their children into the proverbial crosshairs when they (the parents) signed on for the show? Couple that with Josh leading a conservative political organization, and injecting himself into the political discourse in this country, further painting a target on his back…this is the sum of all those decisions. Again, a complete lack of accountability from conservatives.

It’s totally okay for him to exploit this situation and his ties to conservative media so that he can gain traction in a crowded field though. Also, this is exactly what they signed up for; sucks their poor parenting blew up in their faces, but damn if it isn’t entertaining.
Back in the 1990’s Mike Huckabee’s son, while working as a camp counselor, found a stray dog. He hung it from a tree. There was no investigation.
As an adult Huckabee the Son tried to get a firearm and ammo past airport security. He got a suspended jail sentence.
So when Mike Huckabee talks about sons who do bad things, he speaks from experience.

Several people that have been shown almost no compassion in the rush to forgive the parents are the young girls who were molested. There is no mention of them in Hucksterbee’s remarks unless they’re in the audio, which I have no time for. The guy’s a pig defending pigs.

Not only that (which is a very big point), but going on Fox, which is the network cashing in the most on the Duggar story to say the media is exploiting the story (which by doing so, shows Huckabee and Fox FURTHER exploiting the story for their own reasons), while never pointing out that Fox is giving it the most air time just goes to show that irony is a word of which they have no understanding.
I think this demonstrates the true nature of the Huckabee ‘candidacy’ for president. He has no one on his team with the sense to tell him to shut up and stop defending a child molester. Such a candidacy is doomed to lose. The only purpose for it is to raise money from those foolish enough to donate money and spend it on personal expenses in the fashion of Caribou Barbie. In other words, an affinity fraud directed at fundamentalists.
Totally right. This is Fox News engaging in the media’s version of Munchausen by Proxy. They are beating up their own story for the attention. As a white man who is progressive, I don’t read up on the white conservative plight in this country, because, well, there is none, but I have to imagine that the brain trust at Fox could pick another fight not involving children being molested. Wait, I hear it now…my assertion would suggest that there is a brain in the brain trust. This was a really dumb comment on my part. Sorry! Sorry everyone!
