So does Trump applaud Huckabee as a winner for keeping control of his microphone or does he rebuke Crux for following BLMâs example and trying to rush a stage that wasnât his or does Trump diss Cruz as a loser who let himself be blocked off stage by a young woman:?

Not because this was a celebration of bigotry though⌠but because the âeventâ will add to the pile-on that will seal Huckleberryâs fate as a total loser. So then Teddy & Co. will be glad they werenât more visible there.
I remain disappointed that this clear opportunity to deliver a beat-down was squandered.

Two things:
First, the idea is for other people to comment on your âgraciousness.â Having to compliment yourself on being gracious means that no one else thought it was gracious.
Second, I canât say that the Huck aide is a hero, because his purpose is vile. But you have to hand it to the guyâhe came between Cruz and a camera. As far as I know, no one else has ever done that and lived to tell the tale. Dudeâs either brave or stupid.

You knowâŚit might actually be interesting if these internecine antics were covered on a bigger stage. The unfortunate fact is this shit is a flash in a small news pan. We can all do our circle snark here, affirming our search for intelligent life in the political universeâŚbut honest-to-fucking-God, the future of our democracy is at stakeâŚplaying out on stages big and small but covered like balls and strikes by a media (TPM!!!) eager for eyes, clicks and advertising dollars.
WeâŚhere, usâŚthe majority of commentors on TPM by and large get it. With our Nationâs wealth, a well-run representative government can foster an environment where all are afforded an opportunity to live well and make a contribution to the future. Some number of our fellow citizens wonât make it without our on-going help. Compassion is the measure of a nationâs soul.
Compassion-be-damned is the operant philosophy of one half of our current government (over one half, actually). We are being slowly rent asunder as a cohesive nation by ideological balkinazitaionâŚgun rights, gay rights, Jesus saves, Moses invests, immigrants good, immigrants evil, climate change, white power, black lives matter, good cops, bad cops, West Coast, East Coast, fly-over states and on and on ad infuckingnitum. I must admit to being surprised at how inept Huckabee actually is. Itâs one thing to behave as he has admitted, itâs another thing to trumpet it as a good thing. He freely admits itâs much more about him and his organization than Davis. I have no pity for her, or Cruz, but am a bit surprised at how poor Huckabillyâs political sensibilities truly are.
