Howie’s biggest problem is that he’s a putz.
If he’s thinking on is own I would feel confident in saying the Mr Kurtz’s days at Fox News are numbered. Especially if his “independent” thinking and speech don’t conform to what Mr Ailes is expecting to hear.
Kurtz didn’t “turn” or “blast” FAUX’s sudden dumbstruckedness over Bundy – he couched his “critique” in the idea that not covering it was unbecoming of such an otherwise fine, upstanding, reputable news organization. Kurtz was a hack, is a hack, and will forever more continue to be a hack. Don’t give credit where none is due.

Curtsy Kurtz is a tool. His obeisance is to genuflect to Roger Ailes now that he works for him…He would not have said a thing had it not been the overall game-plan of the cable channel to get themselves out of the mess they helped to create. Ailes is the puppetmaster and all who work there know his word on how to proceed is the final say on the matter. No one there has “journalistic independence” and to call anything they do at Faux “journalism” is itself a misnomer.

Whenever he wants to do this, he can play the role of “house liberal” and be a punching bag for the rest of Fox, and the appearance of controversy will drive ratings. It’s not like the easily manipulated Fox viewers are going to say, “You know, Maude, that Howie Kurtz fellow is right. I’m going to turn off Fox News and go work on the house!”

Among beasts FOX is known as the most cleaver animal and it’s only motive is to steal chicken. FOX networks’ name is perfectly appropriate.

Fox made up for the lack of coverage by having Tucker Carlson complain that he doesn’t let his son watch Oprah (becuases she’s anti-male) and then they went on to talk about how rap music is ruining the country.
You’re kidding, right? Let’s assume that the guys in the field did tell HQ that their guy was a racist – would that have any impact on the Goebbels fans at Fox? They can ignore it, misinterpret it, misquote it, spin it – all the things they’re great at. That’s why.
The old farts and knuckledraggers who make up the fauxnews audience LOVE what Bundy’s saying - why would they risk alienating their viewers?
