Which means there are 2 in 10 that think that crap is OK?
I assume they consider it the only way to make America great again.
Yes, his true base. The ones that equate tough talk with actual strength.
Basically heâs an obnoxious spoiled punk kid and it doesnât take a whole lot of subtle discernment to see it.
while 20% may think itâs OK my follow up question would be how many of the 80% think itâs OKâŚ
because a lot of people may equate rudeness with being âmanlyâ and âpolitically incorrectââŚ
just because someone considers a behavior rude doesnât mean they donât approve of itâŚ
I think he is beginning to embarrass some of his supporters, and I think generic Republicans really donât like it, consider it low class, but will still vote for him over Hillary or Bernie, if âforcedâ to.
The actual Republican Party isnât a majority of people though and I do think the rudeness hurts them.
Eight In Ten Americans Think GOP Primary Is âDiscourteousâ
Just wait till they see what the GOPâs policies would do to them. Hint : discourteous would be a huge upgrade.
I find the entire tenor of this article disconcerting. It speaks about ârudenessâ as if our biggest concern is that Trump refuses to take off his chapeau while dining.
In reality, weâre dealing with a guy with violent, fascistic tendencies. A man who condones physical altercations at his events, calls an entire race ârapistsâ while wanting to ban another group entirely from the USâŚa man who speaks of using nuclear weapons as if they were pea shooters.
Rudeness is quotidian; this is terrifying.
discourteous ?? really I thought they were a bunch of greed drives ignorant assholes and pissy little bitches and sore LOSERS
There was a film called âTankâ with James Garner playing a harassed Sergeant Major. He also was the owner of his own Sherman Tank (which, presumably, the Army let him maintain at his various duty stations).
Everyoneâs favourite part of the film was when Garner (aroused to action) drove the Sherman to the (redneck) local sheriffâs county jail, pointed the Shermanâs cannon at the sheriff and said:
âI believe Iâve got you coveredâ
Trump is a huckster. For his target audience, he knows how to huckster those âŚwho do not mind a little crassness, a little vigilantee-ism, a little roughneck-acting, a little RUDENESS, so long as the theme isâŚâHe just couldnât take any moreâ
And the people he is looking for are those who are already to the point of overflowing emotion favouring the crassness in the first place. The hustle is grifting the LEGITIMACY of the theme âthey just canât take it anymoreâ
And what âcanât they take anymore AT THIS PARTICULAR JUNCTUREâ? The corrupt GOP establishment, of course.
I am no fan of the GOP or its establishment, but, according to Steve Kornacki, Trump has garnished only 37% of GOP Primary voters but has amassed about 47% of GOP delegates in those contestsâŚan outcome favouring Trump (a fact which disproves the grift). Two things allow this grift/hustle of Trump.
(1) The MSM do not highlight (AND REPEAT LIKE TRUMP WOULD DO) Kornackiâs numbers
(2) Trump is great at repetition of lies (like another 20th Century German political figure)
Discourteous------------a wildly misunderstated characteristicâŚ
I had the same thought. Well put.
Who knew political correctness was so popular?
I think that many people had forgotten what pre-PC days were like. Trumpâs âcandorâ might have felt refreshing, at first, but a steady diet of it can make you sick.
And yet, the amount of people who like him and believe him is still staggering to me as well as the rationale they use for their support.
Aaha. I see you are feeling better about the fact that only 37% of republicans like him and realize his chances of ever getting in the WH are slim and none.
If 8 out of 10 voters donât vote Republican in November Iâd feel even better.
Gracias para tus palabras de animo. Siempre me gusta tu bondad.
I blame ârealityâ television for supporting this tough guy mentality. However, ârealityâ doesnât work the same as the real world.
Y vuestro aprecio mi amigo
