Discussion: How Pat Roberts Dug Himself Out Of The Grave In The Kansas Senate Race

LOL. I have to agree with you - I live in Texas and I KNOW I don’t deserve to be saddled with Ted Cruz.

never discount the stupidity or vengefulness of the duh-murican voter. it’s reflected in the congress we already – and likely continue – to have to represent us.

I will take back my harsh prediction if the voter turnout surpasses, say, 60% on Election Day. That way, I can be certain that a majority of eligible voters participated in deciding Kansas’ future.

But we both know that will not happen. And that means a lot of your ‘nice Liberal people’ decided to sit out the election, as well.

Remember what George Will said famously. A non-vote is a vote for the status quo.

Unfortunately, it’s not just the red state yahoos in Kansas that suffer. If the Senate goes GOP in November, this country can kiss SS and Medicare goodbye. SS will be turned over to Wall Street and Medicare will be privatized and insurance companies will raise rates and deny coverage. Federal dollars will be used exclusively to fund the police state and foreign wars. Welcome to hell in America.

Won’t happen. Obama would veto it. Touching the third rail is still suicidal.

Oh, god, why are the voters so stupid, especially the “moderates.” He goes hard right and gains among Republicans, but doesn’t lose the moderates! How does that happen?

Damn. You got me there.

Orman’s winning strategy is simply to tie Roberts to Kobach. A vote for Roberts is essentially the same thing as putting Kobach into the US Senate. I am very surprised that this plan of Kobach, Brownback, and Roberts has not been mentioned in the news, even once. Even asking any of them if there is any credibility to this plan will put all three on the defensive to try to cover it up, and where there’s a cover-up, there’s an untrustworthy suspicion from the voters. Orman couild make this very easy on himself to win if he’d simply ask that question. All three are individually unpopular. Tie them all together, and it’s game over for all three.

Bush tried to privatize Social Security in 2005 after his “mandate” win in 2004 with a Republican Senate and House. Never got off the ground.

REpugnicans the old joke about their medical plan - dont get sick

those supposed support life xtians tried to turn medicare into a voucher system.

First of all the no insurance company in its right mind would insure most of us old folks

Second without the mandated cost benefits of medicare - contract rates, the cost would double or worse. eg My heart bypass last april $120,000 base cost, about 45000$ contract cost. I’ve been paying for medicare since the mid 1960s Finally collected Actual cost to me about $2000, after pvt medicare where the companies cannot refuse coverage

RREPUB PLAN FOR PROTECTING LIFE OF OUR OLD FOLKS

DONT GET SICK THOSE mf REPUBS SHOULD BE SENT TO GUANTANAMO

btw RE ks - Its the location of the national Ku Klux Klan rally.

Dylan, nice work but inside the beltway meme as manure, being spread by you. Sorry but you have been duped.

This is the same shite wagon sourcing that last week mounted a depress the democrats salvo via Politico’s puke about a GOP wave election.

Unless you counter this by inclusive reporting from the Orman side, then you and Josh are patsy this time around.
