I actually do think Collins was trying to do something, unlike her colleagues. In this case she deserves some credit. The sad part is the GOP apparently has no problem arming terrorists. Maybe because St. Ronnie did it too?

I think you’re right and I should have stated that in my comment – I do give Sen. Collins some credit here for her efforts. I think she very likely is sincere in trying to move the issue forward, and for that I thank her. Thank you for, bd2999, for pointing that out. And, yeah, good ole St. Ronnie – he did this so many years ago, I’d almost forgotten about that. Oh so many reasons I don’t like that man.
