Well in front of the cameras they are ok with it. But that’s just to cover up Donald’s fuck ups and try to preserve some semblance of sanity. Behind the scenes I’m sure they are scared as hell that the really shitty stuff is going to be exposed and they won’t recover for years if ever.
It’s exactly how before it was obvious that Donald would win the nomination they called out all his ideas for the BS they were and after they realized he was going to be the republican in the election they suddenly were ok with everything.
Party over everything else. I be willing to bet if you looked at the bottom line, Republicans do as much if not more damage to the US than almost any other adversarial countries like Russia.
Good lord, I just saw a fucking commercial for President Trump touting his non-existent accomplishments. This must be his all important war room strategy for today. Really. The production quality seemed more like he was still running to be President, not like he already is, which makes it seem even more bizarre. Its just like all those 2020 campaign rallies he holds…pure idiocy, especially when he’s doing that shit even before he hits his 100 days in office…and continues to do so only few months into office…with miles to go before he sleeps. All that commercial did was reinforce what a weak leader he is. Any U.S. President that needs to advertise how great he is to show his worth in salt, is already pathetically debilitated. Very strange counter-programming…if that’s what that was supposed to be about.
The spin is reaching vortex speed already. Listened to that Tea Party Freedom Caucus mutt Jim Jordan this morning trashing Comey and rearranging his opening statement to a nothing burger conclusion. Let’s hope Democrats don’t get caught unaware that Republicans are well prepared this morning and plan to disrupt questioning and the entire hearing.
Democrats on the committee have to ask the right questions, questions few even considered, a series of curveballs Republicans didn’t anticipate - resulting in (hopefully) unexpected and damaging answers. Otherwise this whole ‘show’ will be seen as a partisan Democratic failure. It could really be that delicate b/c no one knows what card Comey is going to play.
