Seems like a good guy and it’s good to see this in the political moment. There’s no clearer demonstration of Republican unwillingness to do the people’s will or work for the common good. This isn’t the first prominent law-enforcement individual or group to call for commonsense gun control.

It’s actually a beautifully written post. Couldn’t be clearer. I wish we could see much more of this from leadership.

“I think that the American people, gun owners — the vast majority of which are pragmatic and actually support gun sense and gun reform in terms of keeping guns in the right hands,”

So not the guy that showed up with an american flag and his gun, I’m guessing.

Here is a man who obviously does not depend on NRA money to get elected.

We are literally trading the lives of Americans (and so painfully, American youth) so that a vocal and disturbed minority and continue their hobby unfetteted. It is disgusting.

But you watch. The NRA, FOX, Now Senile Ollie North is going to join Senile Donald Trump, Senile Rupert Murdoch, Senile Joe Arpaio and they are going to try and destroy Acevedo.

Notable that one of the armed security officers at the school - in serious condition after helping to stop the shooter - was a retired Houston cop and colleague of the chief. Chief is speaking on multiple, common sense levels. Is there a will to change or will he, too, be dismissed?
