We’re dangerously close to accepting a DOJ and FBI that are at Congress’s disposal. That they have to satisfy the GOP or they must be punished.
Rep. Hakeem Jeffries said it best:

Comey is a puke of a man but it’s time he stopped trying to clean up his image and get back to doing what he was supposed to be doing when he fouled it. Looking after the best interests of America. He has no reason or obligation to be cooperative with an abusive GOP.
Comey’s agreement with them says they have 24 hours to get it to him and he can then give it to anyone he likes.
Won’t matter. This isn’t an investigation that hopes to find something. All that’s been looked at in the past. It’s an investigation to push the idea that an investigation is needed. That Comey was biased. Comey concealed the Russia investigation to protect Trump and went all out “anti Hillary” with the email thing. This interview is about changing that reality.
Comey gets hit from all sides. The “freedom caucus” are giving him material for his next book.
I read that as their “promise”, not a legal commitment. Though I could certainly be wrong.
