Discussion: House Passes Tax Bill (Again), Sends To Trump To Sign Into Law

The Republicans have managed a remarkable feat. They have dug a political grave for their party, jumped into it, and pulled the dirt back over their heads.

Hooray! The Great American Tax Heist is nearly complete!

Trump called the bill “historic” and described it as and “incredible Christmas gift for hardworking Americans” while touting the corporate tax cuts at a White House event earlier on Wednesday.

It’s “historic” all right, but simply another display of his delusion and heartlessness. I eagerly await him and his GOP flunkies paying the price for this foolishness. Go ahead, Speaker Ryan, now try to take away Social Security and Medicare; you will soon find out why it is called the “third rail of American politics.”

So, whose votes changed to get from 227-203 to 224-201?

They really do just want to kill their voters because they despise having to stump for yokels.

I wonder how they sent it. Remember the President lives at 1400 Pennsylvania Avenue.

Worth noting how full of shit Ryan is in this great interview done by Savannah Guthrie on the Today Show.

I wish we would have seen more of this before the vote, but it wouldn’t have changed any votes. Ryan and his smug grin will want to make you smash your head but she catches him in a whole series of statements that he just refers to non-existent studies.

This is what Ryan has done his entire career. Big smart math guy, but can’t ‘show his work.’

“The House passed the bill by a 224-201 margin.”

Traditionally, this is the point at which the judge says, “And may G-d have mercy on your soul.”

RIP GOP.

Probably some Freedom Caucus yokels mad because there was no provision to dig up FDR and scatter his bones.

“According to the Tax Policy Center, a left-leaning think tank,”

Stop it. Just fucking stop it. And you know exactly what I fucking mean.

““incredible Christmas gift for hardworking Americans””

And if you stop for just one second and think about that statement’s wording, you know EXACTLY what they mean and that it aligns EXACTLY with what the bill contains.

"It was once said that the moral test of government is how that government treats those who are in the dawn of life, the children; those who are in the twilight of life, the elderly; and those who are in the shadows of life, the sick, the needy and the handicapped." – Hubert H. Humphrey

I believe in the Nineteenth Amendment solution. Everyone who doesn’t think it’s her personal obligation to bear the country more children if you don’t want to work until you die, get off your ass and vote.

After the Scumbags took the Senate back and Trump won someone on here said it would be good thing because they would not know how to govern and would end up losing the House, Senate, and Judiciary probably forever–it’s early but it looks like this might be happening. Would someone help me out and tell me how this Tax Bill might be a good thing? Will this Tax Bill adversely affect regular Americans this year? Will the economy slow enough and will Americans blame the GOP because they are “in charge”?

Merry Christmas from the GOP! We left you a bag of dog shit on your porch, and lit it on fire!

Also, get involved … contribute, canvass, talk to friends and neighbors. American democracy is a participatory sport. Time to get in the game and play to win!
