Is the PayGo provision in here so the Tax Bill can be signed? Otherwise, Medicare will be cut in Jan 2018 unless Trump doesn’t sign this until next year. I want the Dems to be screaming about this. People need to know the flaws from hurrying the tax package and that these cuts will happen next year unless Congress does something about it.

It is obvious to me that, having finally actually passed a piece of legislation (with scribbles in the margins and all kinds of unknown downstream effects), the poor little fellas are all tuckered out and need a rest. Makes me think of a barely passing college freshman who has been partying all semester and then 3 straight nights up on white crosses writing some demented term paper just in time for the deadline. The final product is about as good. How can anyone be surprised that this is how a party full of idiots who were elected because they hate government would (fail to) govern?

Slight OT, but I live in a blue district and just got a Christmas card from my DC rep (a sharp woman beloved by her constituents for her savvy political skill and approachability). The greeting on the card is a Winston Churchill quote, “If you are going through hell, keep going.” I love it!!!

from what I have read, the flaws regarding corporate tax reductions include some that violate international trade treaties, so… guess we’ll have to spend some money in court to defend the bill against our trading partners, or they could just impose sanctions on us I suppose

Apparently not. Republicans have proven that they can just stumble along, making no decisions at all, just dumbly voting YES to all the bills written by lobbyists for their campaign donors. Easy peasy. The worst part is when they have to suck trump’s tiny dick on TV, and demands for that seem to be increasing.
