Discussion: House GOPer Offers New Timeline On Obamacare Repeal Bill

Anyone really think they will do anything or just keep fucking around like they have done for 7 years?

My guess is still that they won’t fix it’s issue, remove penalties for not signing on and let it die it’s own slow death, much like the folks that need it.

I’m guessing the later is the accurate one.

well, this is certainly a bad idea.

My mother was diagnosed with Stage 2 Multiple Myeloma on April 9, 2013. She died July 19, 2015. Her total medical bills before her final hospital stay were over $1 million. I’d like this asshole Rep. Black to please explain how Mom was supposed to have saved up for Cancer? Mom died very quickly for the type of cancer she had, but most people with it will live many more years and rack up many more bills. Cancer would take one look at what most people can afford to put in an HSA and laugh itself silly.

GOP Circle-jerk logic.

Oamacare is imperfect so we’ll replace it outright with our imperfect plan.

suggested health care savings accounts, which would hold tax-free savings for people to use on medical expenses.

We have one of these and use it to supplement our insurance. That’s about all they are good for and are worthless if someone gets a serious illness.

“We are going to have a plan where we will open up the options and give people options that they don’t currently have,” Black said. Would that be the option to die and do it quickly?

sorry about your mother. the cost of all those tests is astonishing.

if they repeal with no replacement, they should rescind their own government paid coverage.

One More Time:

Members of Congress buy their health care insurance on the ACA exchanges, which are modeled on the exchanges used for other federal employees.
Each member of Congress pays a portion of the premium for his/her insurance—just like almost all people with employer-provided health care.
None of them gets a free ride.

Go to hell

Yeah, it sure is. Can you imagine how extensive a surveillance net would be needed to track all the visitors and immigrants? And dollars to donuts, if it’s there, it’ll be used on the rest of us too. Remember under Dubya??? Bypassing paperwork for surveillance of US citizens? Gaack…

None of the Trump agenda is “conservative.” It is disruptive, it is radical.

Agreed. And how about major heart surgery? that can easily run $150k.

We had a family tragedy last week - a 23 year old niece ended up brain dead and on life support. I can’t imagine what the tab has been for the past week.

How does one save up for that sort of thing?

Not good enough. We were promised “the time for empty talk is over” and “insurance for everybody” that would be “better and cheaper.” I want that insurance–and I want it now.

the computer company i used to work for paid all medical and dental. but, hey, that was a long time ago.

Emphatically hate these stupid “Let’s Make a Deal” type of accounts - why does it have to become some sort of game of chance - guess your anticipated medical expense - and if you guess right you get to use all of your money . It is all a bunch of carnival game nonsense - and does little if you are catastrophically ill

The GOP plans are a joke - - - like:
