“I’ve got the speaker’s office going ‘you’ve got to stop this shit, to try to bring a vote’. "

Speaker Merkin Muffley: "Gentlemen, you can’t vote in here. This is the Congress!"

Thoughts and prayers to the House GOP leadership…

The Republican leadership has put their fingers in the air and determined that not pissing off the Republican base is more important than taking this away as an issue for Democrats in the fall.

Basic compassion and humanity, and the fairness to and safety and security of the Dreamers are not part of the equation.

But, keep pushing “moderates” (I didn’t think they existed any more).

The article shouldn’t label these GOPers as “moderates” or “centrists”. They’re sane conservatives who aren’t alt. right white nationalists.

“Republican moderates” – two words that one never sees in the same sentence, let alone side-by-side.

Alex, I will take oxymoron for $1000.

[/quote]Never. And whether “moderate” is used as noun, adjective or verb, it just doesn’t happen.

“A national message about where our party is [on DACA] is still, I believe, wanting,” - Pete Sessions (R- NE suburbs of Dallas, PVI +5R, target on his back)

Actually the Republicans do have a “national message” it is that brown people are rapists and their kids should be ripped from their hands and tossed in jail or seperated onto military bases before being shipped home to the “shithole” countries where they came from…

The problem is its not a message that can get big-eyes Sessions reelected in a district that prefers the racism to be hidden, not in the open…

Jeff Denham and Carlos Curbelo are both stooges for LaRaza and MALDEF. Simply pandering for votes.

Once the USSC receives this its over for DACA. When will politicians and people in general figure out that when you reward illegal immigration with jobs, drivers licenses, discounts in college tuition, scholarships encourages illegal entry. DACA recipients care about one thing, themselves. They have used billions of taxpayer dollars and want more and more. Illegal immigration negativity affects our economy from employment to public services.

There is an estimated 800,000 DACA recipients (11-20 million unvetted illegals) in the US. That is 800,000 jobs American Citizens don’t have or will be in competition for. So when you hear “we pay taxes…we pay taxes” about “contributions” by illegal aliens taking American citizens jobs, remember that also is at a cost in jobs citizens should have. The goal is to have all able citizens working contributing, paying taxes and zero illegal aliens in the country.

Just some of the costs associated with illegal immigration, we will pass this burden on to our children and grand children as has been passed on to us.

*The cost of educating illegal aliens children is staggering. From K-12 it costs taxpayers $122,000 for EACH illegal alien student. This does not include the billions spent on bilingual education for illegal aliens.

*Currently city, and state officials are appropriating millions of taxpayer dollars for legal fees to to file law suits and in defense of illegal aliens being deported.

*2012 illegal aliens sent home $62 BILLION in remittances back to their countries of origin. This is why Mexico is getting involved in our politics.

*30% percent of all Federal Prison inmates are illegal aliens.Does not include local jails and State Prisons. At $21,000 per year expense per inmate in Federal Prison U do the math.

*$3Million Dollars a DAY is spent to incarcerate illegal aliens, I repeat 3 MILLION a DAY to process Illegals in the Criminal justice system.

*$2.2Billion dollars a year is spent on is spent on food assistance programs such as SNAP (food stamps) WIC, & free school lunches. All can be found on google.

The CBO (congressional budget off ice) estimates it will cost American taxpayers 26 billion over the next 10years if 1.8 million re legalized.

Amazing that the Freedom Caucus does this stuff weekly (or threatens to), yet a smaller group of so-called moderates’ first attempt at playing hardball with the Speaker is making all the sirens flash red. Says a lot about who’s calling the shots.

This is different since if the Democrats got on board en masse, they could force a vote. There is never any risk of that occurring when the “Freedom” Caucus is whining. So the FC is just pissing in the wind every time, while this could actually make waves.

And I thought that troll over in the Mnuchin thread was a live one…

Jeezuz, pal, wake up: Your beef’s not with immigrants, it’s with robots.

90% of manufacturing jobs lost since 2000 went to domestic automation.

By 2025, it’s gonna kill 250% more American jobs – even if no immigrants ever cross the border again.

“A national message about where our party is [on DACA] is still, I believe, wanting… we’re going to have to find a good, succinct answer.”

“We hate brown people” hasn’t been succinct enough for the GOP?

Sessions is also in a "Clinton District "

Are you willing to write off a congressional district?

Yes or nay

Here’s how this should work…

Dems Now: “We’ll give you a budget deal by the August Recess if you give us a DACA deal now.”

Dems in August: “GO FUCK YOURSELVES.”
