Wonder how the kochBoys are handling the loss of their campaign funds…

especially since the SupremeCorporation helped them so much with the CU ruling.

Wow. So much bullshit packed into only 5 lines of text.

Virginia families? That’s a rather peculiar way of saying voters.

Good catch. That’s code for, you know, family values, a man and a woman, white and fertile.

Yes, they were so busy celebrating this great victory that it took them all day to release their statement.

Wonder how many boxes of kleenex and bottles of bourbon they went through.

They’re confident Brat will hold the seat. Is that the same level of confidence Cantor had that he held a large double-digit lead over him?

Trying to walk back the war on women in the state. Women propelled this stunning loss and very well may decide not to vote for the lunatic they supported in the primary in the general election.

I am pretty confident they will hold the seat, too. Its an incredibly red district and as long as Cantor doesn’t split the vote with a write in campaign, its going to stay red.

The release is basically confirmation that Cantor is not going to do that. He has been defrocked, beaten and threatened into submission, and this was their way of saying that.

“Virginia families have selected Republican Brat to represent them in Congress”… Ummm, there’s more than a few things wrong with that statement.

This was a PRIMARY. Republican Virginian VOTERS have selected Brat to be their CANDIDATE for Congress…

Unless they let the kids vote now?

Here is the Statement:

I “liked” your comment, but really think that there are issues around turnout, gerrymandered district nut-packing, primary vs. general – which need to be considered when predicting the ultimate outcome.

Plus Brat is on the record with a lot of crazy stuff and it is only going to get worse now that he is in the spotlight.

Trammell is an unknown so there is that – but I am actually more hopeful today than I was last night.

Virginia families? Because in their world the pater familias would cast his single vote for the whole household, we presume.

One of the problems with the 'Baggers is they believe in small-to-no government. With an outlook like that seniority or what a politician can bring back to the district is less valuable. What counts to them is zealotry and orthodoxy. That’s fine for a handful of districts but when these people penetrate into leadership positions they will scare the dickens out of the citizenry at large. These little old men and women that supported the 'Baggers will disappear if there is a hint of Medicare or SS bashing that is sure to follow if the crazies are openly elevated to running the asylum.

It just took them a while to write a statement that didn’t contain the words “arrogant,” “prick” or “dumbass.”

“Eric Cantor has been a steadfast leader for our party, and a great friend and mentor for so many House Republicans. I know Eric will continue to lead on the issues he cares so deeply about. Virginia families have selected Republican David Brat to represent them in Congress. I congratulate him on his victory and look forward to working with him in Congress.”

-He then went on to add:
"We’re all pleased such a strong leader and complete douche nozzle has been put in his place. I know I speak for many, when I mention the relief we all felt knowing we wouldn’t have to deal with Rep. Cantor, or his pompus, arrogant staff after this term.
