Discussion: House GOP Abandons Border Crisis Bill Amid Conservative Opposition

I heard Michelle Bachman was recruiting from her “followers” for Medical Experiments designed to extend their lives. That would give her another 2 years in Congress if she keeps the 90+ year old voters alive for one more election.

/snark - and yes I am being delusional

Boehner, leader of the “sue the President for taking executive actions” crowd said:
“There are numerous steps the president can and should be taking right now, without the need for congressional action”

The hypocrisy is mind-boggling.

“There are numerous steps the president can and should be taking right now, without the need for congressional action, to secure our borders and ensure these children are returned swiftly and safely to their countries.”

So we can sue him over it.

Man this drunkard is a pathetic lying SOB.

The talking points have already been printed and passed around to the Sunday talk show hosts to parrot. David Gregory is ready for his close-up.

I think your snark detector might be off. At least I hope 1DaveN was simply engaging in Poe.

So, the GOP has shown us that not only are they incapable of passing good legislation, theyr’e also incapable of passing crappy legislation.

Umm, Yay?

I just…can’t…OMG…wow.
These people are just amazingly deft with their hypocrisy. And they get away with this shit time and time again because the “liberal” media won’t call them out.

Unfuckingbelievable.

/sigh

And to think, Boehner wanted this job.

“Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) announced the decision [to pull the bill for lack of votes] in a joint statement with his new leadership team….”

Now, that’s leadership.

(Of course, inside the bizarre and Orwellian world of the GOP, failure is always rewarded.)

Apparently the impeachment caucus got its way. It’s amazing, in the so-called “age of information,” how cut off from reality, and even recent history, these winger numbskulls are. Dummköpfe!

I think he could have been an effective leader if had he laid down the law from the beginning.
Starting with the birther talk; he could have stopped that nonsense but didn’t. He allowed that shit to go on and on for a couple of years, allowing the freaks to take over.
If that wasn’t bad enough, last year he said he would not shut down the government and then he allowed the cukoos to twist his arm and what happened…??? They shut down the government.
He had plenty of opportunities to take a stand but he was too chickenshit to do so.
And the best he can do now is point the finger towards Obama and blame him for not doing Boehner’s job.
Pathetic.

It goes without saying but I’ll say it anyway: That statement’s gratuitous lies about the president are churlish and disgraceful. What can you say, in the end, about an entire political party that simply refuses to act on its sworn duty to serve its country, and has abandoned all honor and decency? How much lower can they go?

Let’s look beyond the politics to what this means in terms of practical realities: The US is obliged under the law (both US law and conventions on refugees that the US is party to) to allow every child who shows up claiming to be a refugee to stay in the US and receive decent care until their case can be decided. Without additional resources it may take 5 years or more to hear all of these cases, during which the children can stay. This isn’t Obama’s doing but the LAW.

The GOP has now put into place a policy well beyond what most liberals would dare to do.

Beyond pathetic, really.

Well, the leadership of the Know Nothing Party went from “BIll The Butcher” to “Butcher the Bill” in record time.

The immigrant hordes, bringing their votes for the Democrats, triumph again!

If you have some time to spare, I highly recommend watch the Pres yesterday in Kansas City, Missouri. He had a lot of fun making fun of the idiots. Must see TV!!!

And this too. So proud of our Potus and Flotus
