Discussion: Hillary Clinton Projected To Win Maryland Dem Primary

Drip, drip, drip And according to PA primary, high african american voter turnout.

The dems really need to do a lot more for black folks and their causes, because they always turn out to vote.

Maryland was never in doubt. The margin is the only issue. If she wins with 60+%,she’ll net more delegates in MD than in PA.

This is part of dear leader’s plan to lure the corporatist running dog into a false sense of security.

I always WAS a fan of Lawrence Welk. (Welk: “And a-vonne and a-two…”)

Seriously.

He did not pay his musicians the highest salaries but they had great job security (something exceedingly rare for musicians).

Interesting how a race can be called without ANY votes reported.

Yeah. I agree. I seem to recall calling races simply based on exit polling hasn’t always worked out.

One of the things I’ve sooooo deeply appreciated about Clinton is that she has made an absolute shameless play for our vote. There’s been no faking, no pretending, just an unabashed embrace of the black community. She’s taken some measure of shit for it, and that’s why she always gets invited to the barbecue.

My hope with Clinton, and she said as much last night, is that she’ll be able to talk about black issues to white America in a way that Obama couldn’t. For reasons we all know, when black folks talk about our issues we’re often told we don’t understand or that we’re being too sensitive. However, when it comes from white folks other white folks tend to be far more willing to listen. We have to hold her feet to the fire, to be sure, but I don’t think we’ll have to.

Been gardening for the past week on and off. I help run a community garden and we got going on organizing, signing up folks, divvying up the plots, setting up educational classes on gardening topics, weeding, planning my own space…

My body aches so bad, my brain quit days ago. I can barely form a sensible thought, let alone one on politics other than to see the headlines, read the articles and conclude the basics: The Republicans are still batshit crazy…every single one of them, and that’s not about to change anytime in the near or distant future. The Dems are still doing internecine fighting but its finally coming to the head in terms of the primary process, where soon all will be formally decided. And the pundits are all still full of hooey.

Plus its Passover, and I’m eating cardboard for breakfast, lunch and dinner along with a some gifilte fish yet I dream of pizza and beer daily.

But thanks for asking…

I couldn’t agree more and I think we all agree we need to keep her feet to the fire. This is really an excellent time for democrats. More people identify as liberal and democrat than ever before and If we get in there and do our job by voting especially in the mid-terms. we can effect some of these changes.

How was Maryland projected with 0 percent of the vote in and at the exact moment the polls closed?

Today’s exit polling is pretty accurate.

Must’ve been a blowout. Rhode Island is the only one that might be close…
