Discussion: Hillary Clinton On McCain: He Understood 'What It Meant To Be An American'

I see that Democratic leaders are back to building up the Republican brand again.

If wars without end and massive defense budgets and killing foreigners and fighting against Americans getting healthcare and reproductive freedom is “understanding what it is to be an American” then she is right about John McCain.

The eulogizing of John McCain that has already begun -and will continue through the course of this week -really casts a sharp relief on the corruptness, shallowness, small-mindedness, and cruelty emanating from the current Administration.

The difference between a man who really believed in America’s greatness and a man who doesn’t believe in it, but uses it as a cheap campaign slogan. The week hasn’t even started yet and it’s already shaping up to be a bad one for Trump.

Never underestimate the capacity of the Tramp Mob Family to provoke enough evidence of past/continued criminal activity to overwhelm the plaudits for the late Mr. McCain.

Let the Indictments roll on!

Would that our current “president” and his followers had one scintilla of such understanding, but that would be too much to expect.

I had the same feeling listening to Hillary here as I always do these days: it’s so refreshing listening to an adult discuss American politics and principles. (For a change.)

You know he’s raging about all of it … which is some consolation. I’m sure his fingers are itching.

“Hillary Clinton On McCain: He Understood ‘What It Meant To Be An American’.”

John McCain: “I looked into Mr. Putin’s eyes and I saw three things — a K and a G and a B.”

Yup.

It would be fantastic if Chuck Todd would quick f-g interrupting the people he’s interviewing. No one, and I mean this on behalf of the nation, cares what this ginger goateed clown thinks about anything. Let your guests talk dude.

You forget he was the single GOP vote against killing Obamacare? What a snide and really silly comment.

You forget that McCain then voted for eliminating the individual mandate, the key element in making Obamacare financially viable. The Republicans are trying to kill the ACA with a thousand cuts. McCain only voted against one of those cuts.

And he has fought against expanding healthcare and women’s reproductive rights his whole damn career. One vote doesn’t change that.

You can hardly read or hear anything about McCain without it coming across effectively as a Trump subtweet…

The Von Tramps admired McCain’s role in the Keating Five but then he flipped.

And it’s killing him.

There will never be a USS Donald Trump.

Unless it’s an informal moniker for a garbage scow.

Pardon me for asking, but – do you have a decent bone in your body?

Or is it all BS tribal partisanship?

If you can’t have any respect for the dead, at least have some for yourself and STFU.

(Waiting for your self-righteous justification…)

I’d rather live in McCain’s vision of America that what we’re seeing today. Captain McCain had character and integrity two qualities that are noticeably absent in the current administration and congress.
