So Cruz prays for the victims? What does he have to say about the shooter? Why hasn’t he called for all ‘good’ Christians to stand up and condemn violence against Planned Parenthood? Why hasn’t he demanded that we not allow more Christian refugees into America? You’re a little too late, Ted. And your prayers are hollow.

The telling point is, we aren’t even seeing that.
I know, I look at the world of politics weird, but for me, this silence is the biggest tell of the campaign so far. Every reporter in the country, and every talk show tomorrow should be all over it. Not just the shaming, which should definitely be part of it, but calling them out on the obvious fear of upsetting a base that cheers on violent, unlawful attacks on Americans they oppose.
Not even sending out the “hearts and prayers” messages is a tacit approval of this horrendous attack. Pure and simple.

In this case they are perfectly fine with the shooting. They will be praying for more on tomorrows service, or today’s service in the case of Ben Carson.

This is really the thing. It’s quite astonishing that they can’t even bring themselves to put out a tepid statement saying “we don’t know all the facts, but sympathy to the victims” for a shooting at PP, even when one of the dead is a white evangelical police officer.
Oh, and I’m going to keep reminding Trump, Carson, Cruz et al. that there were hundreds of white Christians cheering a cop’s murder on Twitter.

I want the same test applied to events like this that the right wing routinely applies to the Muslim community.
It would go something like this:
"I just don’t hear enough “moderate Christians” speaking up and denouncing the violent extremism. Their silence means they endorse the radicals in their religion, and that they are complicit. That means that we can’t trust any Christians, because of their unwillingness to challenge their co-religionists. "
Unfortunately, I don’t expect that will be the refrain we hear on Fox or any of the other right wing outlets.

Weekend media had me smirking when they reported "groups’ had inflamed issues surrounding Planned Parenthood to the point of inciting terrorist acts. Groups?!?!?! Groups?!?! Maybe “groups” of Republicans, media? Oh, and possibly "groups’ of media?

Yeah, Ted didn’t offer heartfelt prayers to the ones killed and injured, just their relatives. Presuming, in his sick little mind, that he’s whistling to his supporters that the mothers of the murdered and mutilated made the choice to bear their monstrous baby-killing progeny and look what it got them.
Remember, abortion is a cardinal sin. Therefore anyone associated with a Planned Parenthood clinic is a sinner. These sinners must be stopped at all costs.
And if the local police protect these sinners, then they too are guilty in the eyes of the Lord.
In short, the gunman has taken up a righteous cause … because as Marco Rubio, Mike Huckabee, Ben Carson, Teddy Cruz, Rick Santorum, Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry, and Sarah Palin have reminded us on numerous occasions, Biblical law outweighs governmental laws.
Let’s hold every one of these sanctimonious theocrats accountable for this assertion – may each of them choke on it!
