and, of course, we will keep hearing and reading reiterations of the meme that the President does not try to work with the Republican legislators. At this point, I wouldn’t care if he just told them, “Let’s drop the pretense” - but I heard another Democratic commentator this morning chastising the President for not trying to be bipartisan.

That’s because what they mean by “bipartisan”, is do whatever they tell you. Since that is not going to and hasn’t happened, the song will stay the same.

Why aren’t I surprised? These same Dems are far away from the president when it comes to defending him and policies they say they support yet can’t get to the cameras fast enough to criticize.

Congressional leaders and president check mandatory January White House visit and empty incantation of meaningless words about bi-partisanship off 2015 to-do list. Film at 11:00.

I must confess I don’t give a damn who works with whom. I want the nation’s laws to be good ideas and my experience has been that this never happens when Republicans have too much power. Please break the trend, Mr. President, but it’s not looking good.

If history can teach us anything, these are probably the same Dems who will lose reelection.

I dive
I dived.
I have dived.

“Dove” is a species of bird—it is never the past tense of “dive.”

Thought you’d want to know.

“Dove on” is a vernacular expression to my part of the Enchanted Forest and a verb form the Speaker, like nutty illegitimate son bartenders, has an unexpressed familiarity. My poetic soul selected it from the aether…
