Discussion: HHS Inspector General's Office Will Probe Treatment Of 'Unaccompanied' Kids

Ready? Don’t want to wait for the investigation? Here’s a sneak preview of the report under Trump’s admin: “All the kids are trained liars who were given a script by MS-13 members. Also too, Obama did it and it was worse when he did it. The End.”

And Trump’s HHS is doing a tremendous job with the “bad hand” they were dealt.

Unaccompanied?

I guess that’s right.

“Accompanied until abducted” is just too, you know, accurate …

Probe? Yes, please probe. Also, probe why HHS isn’t moving more quickly to reunite children with their parents, and there will be fewer complaints to probe about mistreatment.

SCREW the HHS Nazis. They will do nothing. With Kennedy retiring, we may be in for actual domestic violence. WTF did America do here? Why wasn’t the Trump Terrorist removed long ago, Brown Shirt GOP?

Worst crisis in our nation’s history. Are we going down because Christian extremism hates the Constitution?

The answer to me is obvious: Of courrrrse, as Cenk would say.

Hillary gave a great assist with the Communist Clinton Foundation. Professional Missing Penis Nunes agrees.

Okay, this is obviously a bot/troll in dire need of shitcanning. It just recently joined with a handle that’s a bit too much on the nose as far as fomenting discord here. Plus, look at its posting history. It’s favorite term of derision is “little fella.” Where did it learn this? Bazooka Joe comics?

" Specifically, this review will focus on a variety of safety- and health-related issues such as employee background screening, employees’ clinical skills and training, identification and response to incidents of harm, and facility security,” the inspector general’s office said, as quoted by the Hill.

The Associated Press noted, citing spokeswoman Tesia Williams, that the probe will not focus on specific mistreatment allegations, which are being investigated separately.

This is very carefully stated. She’s implying without stating that there are credible allegations of “a variety of safety- and health-related issues such as employee background screening, employees’ clinical skills and training, identification and response to incidents of harm, and facility security… .”

The investigation into all of the specific allegations will take several months, so we won’t get the official report until next year. Yet the separate investigation into the categorization of the allegations (the "variety of safety- and health-related issues such as employee background screening, employees’ clinical skills and training, identification and response to incidents of harm, and facility security,”) has been announced today. Hence Trump cannot credibly accuse the IG of fake news, i.e. unsupported and malicious allegations. But he’ll find a way, since he sees (and has) leakers everywhere, so in some sense Trump can credibly claim that he is being stabbed in the back by a spy in the White House. This won’t be Spygate, it will be Spyfence, or even Spywall.

One of the more devastating allegations is that a separated father killed himself while in custody, even though ICE removed his belt and shoelaces. He used his clothes to … what, is not clear. He was found in a pool of blood, and his demise was bureaucratically classified as “Death in Custody.” Trump murdered this man, the ultimate (and, for him, the supreme) manifestation of his malignant narcissism.

Edited a bunch of times, both to complete what I posted prematurely (premature posting, what I said!), and to include a link to a Death In Custody news report.

I saw a report that noted he looped an item of clothing through a floor grate and tied it around his neck, rolling over to twist it tight like a tourniquet. Tried to find the article again but no luck.

Item 8 could be shorter:

“There seems to be significant confusion across the federal government regarding implementation of President Trump 's family separation policy …”

That’s in the Washington Post story I linked to earlier. I just re-read it now (subscription required). This “Death In Custody” is going to become a major scandal, even by Trump standards. The article clearly implies that the father was killed by prison guards and later blamed for killing himself. I mean, how do you end up in a pool of blood if you’ve killed yourself by asphyxiation? The guards work for ICE, and ICE works for Trump, and lying about what happened and blaming the victim are signatures of Trump.

I think the sentence could be edited down and made more clear thusly:

There is significant confusion across the federal government regarding Trump.

??? That’s what I did with my strikes. Which don’t seem to show up in your quote of my comment.

No, I see the strikes, and I was not trying to criticize you. I just thought it might be more direct and opinionated to change “seems to be” to “is,” which perhaps is not up to mainstream reportorial ethics, and replacing “regarding implementation of Trump’s separation policy” to “regarding Trump,” which may suffer with the same defect. I was sort of joking, but editorializing at the same time. Maybe I should make myself more clear when I am joking. I tend not to do that, because I tend to be perverse. Actually I enjoyed your remark, which prompted me to try to join in the fun.

Also, I’m sorry I was not more careful in attributing your words to you by the use of quotation marks. I’m somewhat new at this.

No, no. I just wondered if my strikes were showing. Besides, I did notice you took out “President” which is much improved on my version. :+1:

Okay. I just realized that I should have said “edited down even further,” which would have been the simplest way to avoid confusion.

Based on the Trump loyalty pledge it is hard to believe that ANY appointed position in today’s executive branch can be trusted to “do the right thing”
