I watched the entire debate…too much yelling…too much grandstanding… I did not find myself liking Harris. I know she got a lot of attention, but I don’t really believe the whole busing story, it was just an attack on Biden. Simple as that. And free health care and a thousand bucks for everyone is not going to get anyone elected either.

Biden has a strong record on civil rights. This is all just crap. Cynical at that…I know that it is easy for people to say years after the fact that someone made the wrong decision, but Biden actually has a record of accomplishment in this regard that people can see…or they can dig up some old crap from years ago and take a cheap shot at the man…btw, how many people has Kamala sent to prison? Isn’t she sorry about that? Wouldn’t she do things differently today? But if she had not sent all those people to prison, she would not have been on that stage tonight.

Harris attacked and drew blood. Joe got exposed. Joe has to earn this thing and Harris proved she’s a heavyweight and he’s going to have to beat her and Warren to get this nomination. It won’t be handed to him. If Joe does manage to do that, I’ll salute him and gladly vote for him. In that situation I do think Joe would kick Trump’s ass by double digits. Biden has time to clean up his act, but this is going to be a dog fight for him.

I mentioned to my husband that the moderators need an air horn when time’s up. It happened once or twice last night but the group was able to get themselves under control. Tonight was worse.

Yeah, I think Harris owned the show. She had the most presence and would NOT let people tell her how to end (seriously, I think she just gave Chuck Todd PTSD). Joe didn’t do terribly, but his answer to Harris about the busing was weak. Bernie was okay, but he’s definitely not going to come off as the firebrand against people like Harris, Warren, or even Booker and Buttigieg. Speaking of which, Pete did pretty well, so good on him.
All in all I’m thankful these debates haven’t turned into a shitshow

As I watched and listened to the debate I couldn’t help but think often that this is not a national primary and wonder what impact,if any, tonight’s debate would have on the voters in the 4 early states and the Super Tuesday states.

I missed the debate, but I already knew Joe Biden would be given “The Hillary Treatment” by Lawrence O’Donnell and Chris Matthews, and talk mainly about issues from 45 years ago, but do I think they really give a shit? No.
I like Kamala Harris, but I’m predicting she still won’t rise much from this.

She lied. That is my point. If you look at her age and when she was in school there is no way Biden had anything to do with what was happening to her then. That is my point. She was talking about hurtful his actions were to her then…look at the timeline. Biden had nothing to do with anything that was happening to Kamala in Berkeley in those days.
