I watched Shakespeare In Love the other night, not for the first time, and it shocked me to see his name on the list of producers now that we know how terrible he made life for Paltrow. The films he produced will remain worth watching but not because he produced them but because of their enduring quality
When he turned himself into the police they had to put three sets of handcuffs on him because his fat arms couldn’t reach back far enough with just one.

Do you think Weinstein had anything to do with how Paltrow turned out? I like a lot of her work on screen, especially Shakespeare in Love, but off screen? She really has gone off in some semi-lucid direction. She’s gotten so weird that i have a hard time seeing her and separating her acting from her Goop. Maybe that’s just me, though.

There should have been more profiles of women in the restaurant industry. Their stories are horrifying but the one woman who was profiled spoke about Batali. I remember him saying something on air about Giada De Laurentiis and her “great rack.”
Maybe they’ll do a series. Certainly enough material for it. If these kind of women could be victims, can you imagine what it’s like for the more vulnerable?

On Mario Batali, though, EEEWWWW!!! Never liked him on TV. But, that’s just me.
I boycotted Woody Allen when he got together with his legal adopted daughter. I won’t watch misogynist comedy. But I can’t let go of my love for “Frieda” because it’s a great film. It has nearly ruined it for me to hear Selma Hyak’s experience with Weinstein, I’ll never be able to see it now without thinking of how horrible he was to her and all the other females he encountered.
