Discussion: Hannity On Confederate Flag Bans: Should We Stop Selling Rap Music?

Is that what that smell is?! Damn rotten!

Fuck that, banning FOX news would be a better solution as they defend and enable these monsters.

King of the dishonest false equivalencies.

Wow, grasping at ineffectual strawmen much? The treason and utter moral depravity of the south wanting to keep fellow human beings as property has absolutely nothing to do with rappers saying niggah. The Civil war was about black enslavement, Rap music is about black empowerment. Duh.

Hannity has always been an addle-pated lout, but I doubt even his most enthusiastic listeners would buy into this crap. No one is that stupid, except perhaps Hannity. O’Liely saying, “so what?” about slavery is another vomit-inducing moment. I think these blowhards are going to get lots of blowback, and not just from liberals.

Notice it’s always WHITE guys complaining about the use of nigger by black people.

No point in pointing out the obvious. But I will do it, anyway. He is an idiot, signifying nothing but appealing to millions of listeners and viewers. That is the sickening part.

And fetid too!

And here I thought he believed in the free market.

In fairness it was coined by white guys to describe and disrespect slaves.

Hannity has the jaw of an ass and the brain of jackass.

Last I heard no statehouses were piping in NAS or Snoop Dogg as part of official business. If people want to sport a Confederate patch, sticker, pin, face tattoo they should let their freak flag fly. This is a question of the government giving tacit approval to an instrument of hate. And you can bet if a black governor at some point makes “Gin and Juice” the official state song, Hannity’s inheritors will voice their loud disapproval without the least regard to criticisms of “censorship.”

No one is telling those companies to stop selling the Confederate Flag, nor should they. So how is that a “ban”?

The ban is for government buildings. And I agree, we should not have any rap music flags on government buildings. I also am not aware of anyone pushing for them, or of any in existence.

If they can listen to him, let alone listen enthusiastically, they’re that stupid.

I don’t think we should stop selling rap music, but pulling advertisers from Hannity’s show and pulling Hannity off the air seem like entirely worthwhile endeavors.

Correct, that’s the key to many talk show hosts. You get a small percentage of the overall population, but they are VERY loyal and will buy anything you say. If you starting talking sane, you lose that crowd. Keep up the crazy, and you have a solid base. He’s not stupid, he preys on the stupid.

I’m pretty sure “Mind on my Money” is the national anthem.

It is impossible to overstate the level of Hannity’s stupidity.

Slightly off-topic, but:

I’d like to see a reality TV show where the Stupidest Man on TV (Hannity), the Stupidest Man in Congress (Louie Gohmert), and the Stupidest Man on the Internet (Jim Hoft, a/k/a Gateway Pundit) have a steel-cage death match - preferably with chainsaws - to determine who gets to be called Stupidest Man in America. If the ratings are good enough, it could be turned into a March-Madness-like event.

My prediction as to who would win:
The USA, of course. Especially if none of those assholes survives.

Would solve a lot of America’s problems.

We should ban Ted Nugent albums, because unlike rappers, he does flirt with the treason of secession. Added bonus: never having to hear “Stranglehold” again.
