Anyone can watch streaming videos of Stewart all day long and have a raucous good time and wish they would never stop. But if it were Hannity videos instead, we would all be putting our affairs in order.

It’s like a big stupid lummox street fighter who repeatedly gets his ass handed to him by a slightly smaller guy who can really fight. The big guy is so god-damn dumb that he simply can’t understand the other guy is better, so he gets his face pounded over and over again. It quickly becomes just sad. A happy, satisfying kind of sad, but sad all the same.

I don’t watch Stewart every night, but he never struck my as any Obama cheerleader who’d have his head “so far up Obama’s ass”. Most of the time from what I’ve seen it’s just Stewart running clips of all the stupid shit Republicans say and all of the contradictory nonsense Fox News sells to their audience.

Yes, our national discussion should be all about personalities and who hates who. That’s a lot more fun than talking about actual ideas. Let’s keep running our country like we’re all in middle school. What could be wrong with that? Steward can answer that question; Hannity doesn’t know what it means.

You have to give credit where it’s due.
hannity almost makes it to bottom rung of the comedian ladder and then, boink, he falls off once again.
Steward plays him like a fiddle and will never run out of comedy skits as long as hannity thinks he’s smarter than dog poop.

I knew a kid in middle school like what you described.
Hannity’s problem (and it’s of course systemic at FUX News) is that he has NO credibility outside of the FOX echo chamber. Tragically, that’s just about ALL he cares about. One great example: He had three families on his show after the ACA was up and running. They gave frightening accounts of how their premiums had gone sky high! BUT___When fact checked, it turned out one family was just completely lying and had invented their story totally; the other two families had never even gone to the site and had they done so, they would have had better coverage for less than they were paying.
His show was a complete and comprehensive lie. But it didn’t matter to the low/no information viewers of FOX. This only illustrates the propaganda value, the naked Big Lie, structure of FOX which wholly supports the GOP. Sadly, it works and the Rightie Con sheople and Bagger lemmings get in line…AND THEY VOTE, a fact we’ve suffered of late.
